Root [ROM] CM7 with GB kernel by RevNumbers

I wish I could run this GB version on my phone. But my phone is not even useable when running this rom, so weird.

Oh well, the Prime will be here soon enough. :D

I've always wondered about this...do individual phones not work well with certain ROMs? If so, why is that? Unless there's something wrong with a phone, why would some work and some not?

Not sure maybe its some sort of hardware issue?

I had no problems with the Froyo version of CM, but with Rev's GB version, it just does flat out not work. I get reboots, lag, market is useless, and just overall phone lockups.

Other rom's have not given me this problem so I've forgot all about cm7 and moved on.

Anyone tried the new 10/19 build? What is the Hashcode's system core that this build is based on?

I'm using it now, it's working fine. Hashcodes system core means RevNumbers is using his base, like the new MIUI is using the Defy's base.
 
Anyone having trouble with email in the 10/19 build. I'm no longer getting email notifications and when I go into gmail for example and manually refresh it says I have new emails but they won't show up.
 
This 3G/Wifi bug has gotten worse and very annoying. It started for me on the 10/19 build and is even worse on the 10/21 build. I really like CM7 but am getting tired of having to reboot just to get a proper working signal.

What are your thoughts? Is there a fix/work around? If not, is there another ROM that might fit the bill?

Any feedback would be appreciated...thanks.
 
I flashed the 10-21 build and my dialer would not work, kept FC so I tried the 10-19 build and same issue. Anyone else have this issue? Restoring back to stock for the moment.
 
Not sure if we're going to get much more support here for this ROM or even the phone for that matter. Most of the people that are experienced with modding the DX's I believe are moving towards the Galaxy Nexus. The DX's days are numbered.

A lot of us droid x users are moving right along with them :D. Cyanogenmod generally does a great job supporting older devices though (not sure about the droid x specifically) and I'm sure some developers should stick around. There are a lot of good roms for this phone.
 
Also having trouble with Facebook contacts syncing. Can't get it to work no matter what I do. Maybe time for a new ROM.
