Not sure I get the someone using a picture of you issue either. I guess maybe over it could be less secure than a pattern lock but for the most part I think a lot of people are just using the slide anyway so this is at least as secure as that.

If the dude on the train mugs me and knows to take my photo in the process , the guy deserves to have my phone. Haha My friends who would already have my photo wouldn't rob me!

Don't look for the "slide to unlock" to stay on Android phones. Now that Apple holds the patent on "slide to unlock" (we won't even start a discussion on THAT maneuver), no doubt Android is going to move away from it, in all its forms, as quickly as possible.

Yes, I agree. I just said slide to unlock but that could easily be fling a ring or anything else that isn't really any kind of combination or security measure.

I can't wait to they get rid of slide to unlock I hate it.I think on one of the rom's I used on my X you could get around slide to unlock.

Pics pleeze? You can keep them very anonymous, of trees and stuff. Just wondering what you are seeing.

im going to have to agree. between 100 year old trees falling in-half. To transformers lighting up the sky. To trees littered in backyards...to huge trees bending...leaning towards houses and roofs...stupid crazy.

in october!?!?!?

oh and half of towns or more without power.

Never seen anything like this before. Weather- wise

im in southern nh and their sayin 8 to 12 inches of snow now and already almost 5 on the ground. power going out everywhere and driving home you could see lightning in the sky. nothing like seeing the sky light up blue with snow falling.

Snowpocalypse. It's crazy. My dad just called and said my grandfather had a branch come through his rear car window.

Wow. I'm in Birmingham, AL and I can't even imagine that kind of snow. We see a few flakes and they close all the schools and businesses and the grocery store shelves are bare.

I'm in upstate New York and they were calling for a bunch of snow, but so far we have very little. Should consider myself lucky by the sounds of it.

I find it very hard to believe you guys are having a blizzard.

Are you having a laugh?

Are they having a laugh?

("Extras"? Anyone?)

Our weather here is boring, its nearly 6pm and about 78deg outside rightnow
. It would be cool to have a good sized storm pass through, stay in doors with the fireplace on and drink hot cocoa.

I've got my old Droid, its on life support, battery dies after 1full hour of use, my galaxy tab helps but its not practical for work...

I must have gotten lucky with my OG Droid. I have had it for 2 years now and dropped it on concrete numerous times. Barely a ding on it even now. It has never given me a bit of trouble and still I get a good 4 hours of battery life from the original battery between charges most days. It is getting a bit slow when making/answering phone calls now though so I am looking forward to moving on to the next great phone. Hello, Gnex!

No offense but I gotta tell ya, I don't give a rats behind about your weather conditions wherever you are.

I would like to read about the GN or something in close proximity.

Not to change the subject off the weather, but does anyone else find it interesting that Google is transitioning to using high resolution contact photos all over ICS, yet Google Contacts still syncs that nasty little 96x96 photo to your phone?

So what's the point in showing high resolution photos if their VERY OWN contact service won't support it?

Fair enough... Back on point... This thread was slowing down so I popped down a bit and read about Panda's comment about bad battery life. Have you guys discussed that today and I missed it?
