So what's the point in showing high resolution photos if their VERY OWN contact service won't support it?

Well, I keep responding to notifications on my handset to a thread on the GN only to find off topic chatter that is clearly against the rules. Yuk!

Did you also complain when there was World Series talk recently, or the two thousand threads about poking fun at our most prolific poster by calling him Hans Olo?

So while I understand your position, I have to disagree.

No but let's. ANY device with LTE and an HD screen is going to gulp power, regardless of battery size. I'm fully expecting it... hence my intent to have a car charger, a bedside dock and a USB cable at my laptop. Just like my OG Droid. But I think we can easily expect the Gnex's battery to last at least that long.

EDIT: I like getting first-hand reports from the middle of the blizzard myself. Much more personal than the "news" :) My 0.02 on that

I dont think this thread would be over 18k posts if there was not any casual conversational posts...
however yes if you have any new news on the Nexus please share, i find weekends to be slow news days when it comes to Android.

I'll piggy back if you don't mind... So you feel confident that we'll get a bedside dock? I've never had one of those but would love it.

i got the carkit+media dock with my old droid (my phone replaced my clock), once you get a dock you can NEVER go back :)

i gotta admit the wireless charging mat is probably even EASIER, but still, i dont think i could go without a dock
 
Ive waited for VZW to get a good dual core android phone, bionic was perpetually delayed, than GSII was announced and was supposed to hit the US in June, than late July, then August, then it was never to be out for Verizon after all...
Then finally Bionic comes out, and it turns out to be a dud.

i have very VERY little faith in Verizon at this point

-hense why im still holding on to the Droid, nothing worth wasting a 2yr contract on...
 
:( at HanSolo's sister. I was hoping for more information than Verizon execs being likened to feminine hygiene products. I could come up with some VERY colorful metaphors for them but I'd be tarred, feathered, banned and Steven would likely crawl out through my Ethernet port and strangle me :p

EDIT: Then again, we'd better be nice to Verizon execs, lest they delay this thing further/cancel it out of spite...

In my opinion because they honestly don't care. They are control freaks focused on one thing. Making as much money as possible and ultimately making their bonuses as big as possible. I'd bet that these guys are carrying some of the latest and greatest phones around and don't have a clue how to use them. They are business men and women. Most likely they aren't even very technical. When they need to schedule a meeting or respond to emails they have their secretary do it while they go play golf with some other overpaid CEO type.

Well, she's in even a worse situation. As an employee, they're not able to get it as an upgrade until like two months after general release!

Not that she wants it... She's an iSheep.

True, very true. Working with high level attorneys and city officials, I know that many of them are total immoral subhuman POS weasels, honestly. When I was going to law school, I started getting that way and my family quickly smacked me down to size.

I can't stand that environment, and I do think Verizon is mostly made up of those types. But I guess they all are. That new book on Steve Jobs goes on and on about what an a-hole he was to his employees...

I guess if I want to have nothing but positive experiences I'm on the wrong planet.
