Did you guys see the latest ad for the RAZR? "Coming 11/11 at 11:11am"
The time/day of the Droid apocalypse?
A little off topic, but thinking of new features on phones while looking at pics of the rezound and is it just me, or are there others that really hate the big plug hanging out of your phone when you are using headphones? Why hasn't one of these OEM designed a case/housing with a recessed plug so that its just the wire slipping out of a grove on the back or something like this. Especially a phone made with multimedia in mind. And with the rezound being as thick as it is anyway, I wouldn't think it would add that much to it. But I am also thinking how much of an issue a couple OG Droids and now my Droid X now has.
What about using bluetooth headphones? I have a pair and LOVE them for my running/biking/lifting workouts...if only I could get them so I could wear them in the pool....hmmmm![]()

I had those Motorola's that came out a few years ago. They hurt my ears - pushed in really hard. Which ones do you use/like?
Next year they will be announcing phones to come on 12/21/12.![]()
Not all headphones are created equal, especially in the jack department. I like to use my Sony MDR-V6's for around the house, and cheapo in-ear phones for when I'm out and about. The jack on the MDR V-6's is giant compared to most headphones today, and having a recessed input jack like that would make many headphones impossible to use.A little off topic, but thinking of new features on phones while looking at pics of the rezound and is it just me, or are there others that really hate the big plug hanging out of your phone when you are using headphones? I think it's SAD that Verizon would seize an important moment: Armistice Day, or Veterans Day, for a marketing ploy. The Armistice to end WWI was signed on the eleventh hour, of the eleventh day, of the eleventh month in 1918.
Veterans and citizens all over the country (including ME) will be observing Veterans Day in ceremonies on town squares and capitol buildings at that very moment. For Verizon to try and steal away from that is a strike below the belt to all veterans. WAY below the belt.
Shame on Verizon. Big Time Shame.![]()

do you think the fact that the phone is on a major carrier this time will impact the various case options? seems like the nexus S was really lacking in that department as was the N1.
I understand your point chief but I don't think it takes any thunder away from veterans day, and if it does I wouldn't blame the company for their release day. Instead, I would be more dissapointed towards the individual people for taking the thunder away by the actions they personally choose to take. Just my opinion. Happy veteran's day!
Edit: ill ask again. Does anyone know what happened to that feature of ICS Google announced a few months back where the front cam would track your movements and adjust the screen viewing angle accordingly?

Size of carrier is less likely to be the driver than sales volume. Spin up to production for a case is pretty level regardless of volume, so it has to be competitive for the case makers, imo.

PS - I don't think anyone is down on anyone here about 11/11. I think all we're saying is please remember. Phones, freedom of speech - you know.![]()

I appreciate your sentiments, Namrak, but I would maintain that there are way too many young folks in this country who will be at Verizon buying a phone because they're off for the day... with no clue why they're off. I would much prefer Verizon pick another time - even later that afternoon! - so maybe, JUST MAYBE, some of them can be educated.
Call me old-fashioned, but I guess some things like this should be more sacred and (for obvious reasons) veteran's issues are VERY close to my heart.
EDIT: Okay, back to our programming...
