Root [ROM] Mik3D - RC1- [10/31/2011]

So far I am rather unimpressed. It sucks up my battery twice as fast as Beta-1 did and it just feels more laggy. I am going to keep trying stuff to see if there is a combo that is beneficial but right now if there was a vote I vote down on this being a final release.

Hell, the alpha ran better :eek:
 
He did say he started with the new Ota, so this is a different build.
Try different kernel combos, and put the V6 turbo charger on it. Trust me, it won't lag after you get the script running. ;)
 
I have the script running. (its the first thing I do) It made it better but once the kernal sets in it usually goes slow again. I am going to test stuff out on it for the next week or so and see what works best.
 
I do not run the V6 or overclock and I'm running stock kernel. There is no lag for me on this rom. It is my recommendation to always run this way for a day or two and let the rom settle in, if you start to experience lag after this time then start playing with settings.

All roms will lag the first few hours they are running. Lots of things going on in the background getting things going. Once those things settle down you should be in good shape.

I ran B1 this way for several weeks without issue.
 
Just be aware performance is going to kill your battery. It keeps your CPU at the max you set. It is usually reserved for benchmarking and little else
 
Just make sure you knew what performance was all about :D

Ive always been a "smartass" guy, but I'm trying out interactiveX today and it seems to be working well.

I know, I should just flash it, but work is making it harder and harder to have time to flash as much as I used to... Plus I had just flashed the senseless version of the Classic to play with Regina and Claystone launchers (and take advantage of the "Always Roam" on Verizon option in the rom). :)

And good to hear everyone's reactions re:lag. As far as the recommendations to use V6 -- I've never been able to get that to make a noticeable difference when I've tried it (maybe I'm missing something in the instructions), so I'm always interested in how a rom runs straight out of the box. I'll probably wait to see what the next version brings... or maybe I won't be able to resist and find time to try this myself this weekend anyway. ;)
 
Good point about the governor. I can't use interactiveX or smartass either. I have to use on demand.

You're right even with the v6 script it lags, good call. :D
 
right now i'm running EVOlvedROM r3chargeD and it runs great. looks just like this rom. had it overclocked, but i flashed a new kernel (can't remember the name but i got it off htcevohacks.com) to get hdmi mirroring and lost the overclock, but performance is still good enough at stock speeds. so first and foremost does this rom support hdmi mirroring? overclocking? and can anybody compare with r3chargeD?

all that is done through the kernel and not the the rom. you need a custom kernel to run setcpu so that you can overclock your phone. i believe that chopsuey has the hdmi mirroring support. you can get them in the rom/kernel sticky.
 
Is there a way to change the right rosie button (i think thats what its called) next to the phone button so it brings up the personalize menu ?
I thought there was but cant find it now. Now it opens the MIKMIK web page.

Press and hold the button down. It should give you the option to choose the app to launch.

Nope I found it tho there is a new spot called tweaks under settings.
Holding the button down just stays green untill u release it and takes u to the mikmik. Thanks

I've been running this for the past several days with my usual Aggressive Freedom Kernel and 128/1113 smartass SetCPU settings and really like it.

I think I've found my mikG replacement untill we get some fun complete ICS roms.

I just wish I knew how to import either the MikG battery or the one from Synergy 8/25. The stock battery icon is the only thing I dont like

If you go to the settings and tweaks you can add the % next to the stock batt and you can change the batt colors.

I saw this, but having the % next to it seems like it takes up too much space and is tacky to me. I know I can remove the battery and just have the percent but I dont like that either.

Maybe I need to just stop being so anal about everything ;)]

I never messed with the colors, and its a little better with that, but I dont like how much real estate it takes up having both on there.

I just want a merged option haha

I know what u mean. I wish there was a rom with all the different tweaks rolled in to it but it would prob be huge...LOL

I notice the Wifi sleep issue that first showed up on the Supersonic ROM is back with this ROM. I never had this before Supersonic and nothing I do fixes it. Spare Parts just auto reverts back to default settings as soon as you close it.
