Isn't the SGS2 not able to utilize both cores at the same time b/c the OS is not optimized for that? Whereas the GN can use both cores at the same time with ICS? Perhaps the SGS2 running ICS would perform better?

I have screen shots proving that Gingerbread with the right kernel uses both cores as well as backing from prominent Android app devs that properly coded multi-threaded apps use both cores.

ICS performance is all about an advance that Google made in dual core task management optimization.

I still want a decent camera, but just sprung for a Canon T3 dSLR with 18-55mm lens and 70-300mm lens. Replaces my old film (yes, I said film) Minolta Maxx 7Si SLR. So far loving it, even though it's an entry level dSLR.

So not sure if I care that much about camera anymore. Or at least a fantastic one. As long as it's good enough to get the shot I need when I don't have my new cam, I'm ok with that.

Nice pickup -- I started off with a Canon XTi. I am actually currently using a 5DMK1 (6 years old now), but I love shooting on a Full Frame dSLR. I don't always carry it around, but I love photography which is why the camera is really important to me.

I know, I know. I'm not sure I'd want to own one either. I just know I'd like to learn how to handle them.

I go shooting every so often at Ft. Dix. Luckilly, I have a friend who is former military, current Federal LEO, and also a FFL (Federal Firearms Licensee). He does gunsmithing in his garage, so always has some good stuff to use.

Full frames are the best. But I think this will suit my needs nicely. Tired of getting blurry shots of the kids from P&S digitals.

Going back into the memory bank, didn't I see some leaked spec page that indicated the GNex might be a world phone. who knows, I'm probably wrong. I didn't pay that much attention, because that's not a feature I've actively used.

nj02vette - I can't pretend to know Verizon's specifications processes. One way or another, if Steven is correct (and I think that he is), the Gnex is getting a bigger battery on Verizon.

I have no argument with the idea that some levels of spec management can be insane and irresponsible - we've all seen that go both directions.

But however stated, it seems that carriers can and evidently do specify battery performance or equivalent expectations.

I think we agree on that principle as well as the fact that faster processor, higher resolution screen and smaller battery is bat crazy.
