Yeah... but did you see the part about her seeing it in a Best Buy ad for $50 bucks?!![]()
Details and mistakes. That was pretty funny right on the face of it.

Good news: She's coming out to visit in February for a week! I get to see my beautiful red-haired, green eyed 4 year old niece!
Bad news: Her dog, Penny, recently had puppies and even though I told her to reserve one for me (German Shepherd), she didn't.

first time poster here. just wanted to say that the Gnex is going to be my first android phone and i am super excited about it!
also, since finding this forum, my production at work as dramatically decreased. i simultaneously already love you guys and gals (for posting such great info) and hate you (for turning me into a robot that hits refresh).

are there a lot of people planning to root this phone as soon as they get it?
i want to root mine for the tethering capability, but i don't want to lose the OTA updates especially right after picking it up. i don't really want to flash custom roms or anything, just the tethering capability
is anyone else worried about losing updates if they root?

I like that idea too! I've always wanted to be in an officer's car and not be in trouble.
Welcome, Brightside! You are going to fit in great with the rest of us button refreshers![]()

Maybe I'm confused. I have a Nexus One on T-Mobile, stock, and I can use the wired and wireless tethering for no charge.I don't plan on rooting. I don't illegally tether and only rooted to get rid of the bloat on old phones and get the latest updates.

ummm... what?
Verizon charges to tether, therefor if you root to tether that is illegally doing it.

You know that statement caused some twisting, right?
oh, sorry, didnt realize using the data i pay for monthly through verizon how i choose to is against the law and illegal. thank you for clarifying that for me
Was this release date for the European release....just went into the Verizon store today with my brother in-law and talked to the manager and two worker bees who have never even heard of it yet let alone give us ANY information on a pre-order. I am in no way insinuating that the post is a lie but these people were looking like deer in headlights.....and like we had no idea what WE were talking about.....just saying...
at&t does it to and will remove your unlimited data if they catch you doing it.
