I can come up with pretty much anything so lets discuss in pm or your own thread im excited to see new roms

on a related note...bloodawn... would you be interested in a custom boot animation...making one right now...since i didnt like the current one.

btw there were some menu letters that apeared black, had to tap and hold to see what the letters were...its only specific to certain apps though. just thought i let you know, not a big deal but just something i noticed.

If you want to, doesn't matter

the text color is built into those apk's. not every app is made for black status bars

whoa...market is screwed up for me...stays on 3.1 only lists firs 32 apps...other apps show up as incompatible....tried sideload latest market apk, same thing.

First what do these jar files you removed do? What is their importance? The other stuff is pretty self explanatory. I usually like to learn about what's being removed from the phone before I update or something :)

I've always formatted my sdcard whenever I flash a ROM, just wondering if that's necessary? I don't want to continue doing it all the time if I don't need to. And will it affect anything such as performance if it's not absolutely necessary?

uninstall market updates and clear your cache

two of them are touchwiz frameworks which are useless, monkey is for emulators, sec_feature has some useless shit in it and i don't remember what framework-test

I never format my card, It's not partitioned tho either
 
swype doesn't seem to work, won't/can't install... tried push, tried install, tried just copying the files over from terminal emulator [cp swype.apk /system/app, also tried the swype-installer.apk... any ideas/info? i've killed a LOT of time trying to figure this one out

sorry about that, looks like the apk got screwed up when i optimized it. try this one

Hey, IMO this is so far the best ROM for the prevail, CM7 will be better when we get a full release... But I am getting reaaally low 3g speed on this! On CM it was 175kbps down 390kbps up, with this is 80kbps down and 20kbps up... I tried 3gTurboCharger (faster and fastest options) and setting the ip's to 0.0.0.0 but that did not fix it at all!! I already reflashed... Any ideas?!?!? I did not try stock, but I remember getting at least 375kbps download! It's still so slow... What am I doing wrong?? I hope I can get the 3G to work properly because this ROM is blazing fast!

since nobody else has had any problems with 3g speed it probably just has to do with your signal, 3g speed can go up or down depending on the time of the day too

new update coming soon btw
