Actually, that's out here.

Back in the lair, we keep working on refinements to Steven58 - we think it's a big improvement over Steven57 or even the Steven56 Beta 4 Mk II. :)

About 25k posts and no heuristic breakdowns! ;)

Dictionary, please.

Some of you may remember my encounter at the Verizon kiosk inside BJ's wholesale club about an irate iPhone users.

Well today I'm at a different BJs, stroll up to the Verizon kiosk (Verizon employees, not resellers). I recognize one of the guys who actually sold me several of my previous upgrades (they move him store to store, and I always end up getting him, which is cool because he is a nice guy). So I start talking about the GNex. He and a coworker know exactly what I'm talking about. The coworker looks up my account and verifies my eligibility for an early upgrade. Then tries to look up the GNex to see when it's in stock. After a few minutes searching, can't find a release date. So the first guy tells him.........

"Look it up in Google, it'll tell you stuff that isn't in our system."

And that, Ladies and Gentlemen, is why any info from retail stores can't be trusted. No offense to anyone with an inside connection, the friend of the wife of the manager at a corporate store, or ladies flirting with a CSR will give you any info.......because they honestly don't know it.

Dictionary, please.

I am not sure it makes any sense but...
Heuristic - Definition and More from the Free Merriam-Webster Dictionary[1]

involving or serving as an aid to learning, discovery, or problem-solving by experimental and especially trial-and-error methods <heuristic techniques> <a heuristic assumption>; also : of or relating to exploratory problem-solving techniques that utilize self-educating techniques (as the evaluation of feedback) to improve performance <a heuristic computer program>

Basically he means your trial by fire mod training hasn't blown up in their face so far. i.e. You're doing a good job newbie ;) haha, j/k, but seriously I would have to agree, you may be the good cop, but you are still a cop.

Don't forget, I'm a hobby geek, not a real geek. I'm a Juilliard trained opera singer. I can throw terms on you guys that would YOUR head spin. ;)

Good game coming up who ya got? I'll take Philly at home although I'd like to see duh-bears victorious :)

So Bears or Eagles tonight? We got the cry baby sit myself out of the biggest game of my life Cutler or Vick to convict.

Hmm, I am musically trained as well, 6 time All-State Choir member. Not Julliard though, I went with my other talent, math/engineering for my career. A little embarrassing, but I sang a diffent, deeper part every year as my voice gradually changed, Ending with Bass II, and starting with...

Alto II... Yes, my first year my voice hadn't changed and I made the girls choir. Go ahead, you can laugh. I was one guy in a sea of 300 girls, I did just fine :)

So with the dual core and aluminum frame, how much heat do you think this thing will generate when really taxed? Any of you folks that started out with the Eris remember the attempts to mount a coin in the battery cover to dissipate the heat? Just thinking of some of the mods that might come out for this awesome device.

Quite a range Antimony! I sing 2nd tenor but am comfortable with baritone. My bread and buttah though is on my Strat

My girlfriend and I have been doing Black Friday for the last 5 years. The kids will stay with my parents on Thanksgiving night and we will head out to the stores. Over the past 5 years we have been to dozens of stores and found ourselves in a bunch of crowded places. I have never seen a fight or an argument over anything. Most of the people are very nice and even try to help each other. We had a guy in Toys R' US last year that was running out to find things for people while we all waited in line. The big deal for us is the savings. We saved $300 last year on all our shopping. The price of a Galaxy Nexus is nothing to sneeze at, IMHO. Yes, we are doing it again this year.
It's that thin air up there. Fighting tires people out, so they just stay mello all the time.

Not true in other areas where people don't have manners, much less any moral convictions to not cause physical harm to thier neighboors. Yes, I've seen fights. And while I do go out on Black Fridays for some good deals, I never get crazy, because it's not worth selling out my humanity just so I can save a few bucks.
