Don't do it!! There are rumors that in just a few months they might release one with an even BIGGER camera.
:D. And its going to come with Siri's sister from another mother, Iris!

Edit: just noticed iris is siri backwards. Took me long enough

Had to think about it for a bit there...

On topic: The wonder that is ICS and no bloatware are the only things keeping me from going and getting a Razr on friday. I can only imagine having a device that is pure Google, no bloat, and a flagship phone for new Android software, especially an update that is as big as ICS!

If there are any of us who are downtrodden by the dates jumping back and forth we know it has to happen this month, just tell yourself its going to land on the 30th. Build up anticipation that every day that goes by is one day closer to the 30th. Then when we do get a real date that is many or several days ahead of the 30th you can be pleasantly surprised and even more excited. :D Hope that helps those of us who may be really hit hard at this point.
My heart also goes out to those having serious issues, like the guy who has a BB and is doing battery pulls just to save his upgrade for the GNex. Real trooper there... I just wish CDMA was more like gsm with the sim cards where you could run out and pick up a $20 prepaid phone and put your sim in to tide you over till a phone is released.

Does the phone he have even have service? If you look at his tweet "new talk" (photo attached in thread a few pages back) it appears to be connected to wifi with no signal.

Is he using the new gnTouch..or am I missing something?
 
Honestly P3 is acting like a child. Yeah he is releasing some good info now that he has the device, but it's like he's enjoying taunting us more than he is being useful. And I understand the notion of "he doesn't owe us anything", cause he doesn't owe anyone a damn thing...but if he doesn't want to share and be respectful of the people asking him device-specific questions, he shouldn't have thrown it in everybody's face up on twitter.

You do know Iris app is available on the Android Marketplace. Not as refined as Siri but entertaining in its own ways.

In my opinion, Siri is going to be exactly like "Facetime"...people are going to use it for 3 months, be wowed by it, the hype for it will die, and nobody will even discuss it as a groundbreaking feature anymore. Siri is cool...I've seen it work and I've played with it. But its usefulness in real-world usage is in question, at least for me. I don't think this will ever 'catch on' to change how we use smartphones. I could be completely wrong, but I've had 'voice commands' on most of my mobile phones for awhile. Voice dialing and whatnot is useful in the car when you are driving....but when you are in your office cubicle, or watching tv, or outside with your friends....meh.

And with that I bid everyone still awake a goodnight. Hopefully we get some more leaks or something concrete tomorrow
 
Very true. I played with Siri on my colleague's iPhone at work and half the time it either gave wrong results or it couldn't understand what I said. It's just another gimmick in play that over-hypes its usefulness by the folks from Cupertino.

I've also had Vlingo for a while and it's actually avail for both android and iphone.
 
Rumors of an htc edge are trickling out...quad core, 4.7" hd screen...who is going to wait for it?

Yeah yeah I know the waiting game is pointless there will always be something better coming out. But the thread is moving really slow so might as well

Edit: I know I'm not going to wait. Anyways, the hardware is only as good as the software allows it to be. I'll let others be the guinea pigs for HTC's little project

Totally off topic: Modern Warfare 3 is SO FUN! Only got to play for about 30 minutes tonight but wow...so much fun. I love it.
