That's good news. I was worried by how much "a little bit thicker" would mean, but there doesn't seem to be a noticeable difference from the GSM version in the pictures he posted.

I noticed the same thing. Not much thicker at all!!! That is a nice little find.

Is it just me or are you guys noticing how awful it is to use your current phone? I don't even care about it anymore. When it rings i get disgusted. I don't even use it like i used to anymore. I can't take this wait much longer...

It's not just you. I can't say mine is to the point of awful yet but there are little things here and there that I get disgusted and just put it down.

THe RAZR is their gimmick phone - 11/11/11 at 11:11 (gag). The Rehound will probably get a couple days of not nearly as big a push and our baby will get a quiet launch after that. Just my opinion.

It is a total gimmick and they are trying to be cute with it. It is a nice phone, and I really think that with the long-ass pre-order period that they did along with the weeks of heavy advertising kinda indicates that they dont plan on pushing this thing hard for too long after the release.

They announced the RAZR with a fairly long period of time before it was set to come out, and did a hugely long preorder with lots of advertising all over the place. Kinda indicates to me that they did this because there was going to be no other time to do so because of the GNex release.

If they REALLY wanted this phone to be their holiday killer/baby (not a babykiller though), they could have released the Nexus back at the end of October with little fanfare and then moved right onto pushing the RAZR for the entire months of November and December. Unless it wasn't ready then, however, even as far back as the original Google unveiling, in the videos for it we saw the Verizon version.

I dunno, anything can happen, but the fact that they did such a long preorder with the RAZR and hyped it up for so long before its release, combined with the fact that we aren't seeing much in the way for the Rezound just yet, kinda tells me that they are just fanning out their releases to give everyone some room.

They popped out the SGSII to the tune of well over 10 million units.

Are you thinking processors, screens etc etc?
Curved HD screen would be my first suspect, as it isn't used in any other phone that I know of.

There were also rumors that the OMAP4460 was delayed a while ago (Archos tablet delayed).

Again, this is all my supposition, but it does fit with the facts we know.

If it is either of those, it will obviously affect both lines. I know some of us are hoping it is GSM radio, so VZW is not affected, but I kind of doubt that. I still think it is going to officially launch on the 17th, but it might be a joke of a launch, were there are extremely limited quantities in extremely limited retailers... But still nothing reliable either way.

In the comparison photo that P3 posted of the bionic, nexus, and charge, did anyone notice that the bionic and charge had a lot of face grease on it, while the nexus was for the most part clean? I'm hoping that indicates the nexus has an oleophobic coating, that would be awesome!

comparison pic, Bionic, Nexus, Charge from left to right

My charge is almost always clean after removing from my pocket. I'm not sure if there is an oleophobic coating, but it is a great screen. Very easy to clean and slick. Makes it a pleasure to use. I'm sure the Nexus will be similar

Reading this really gets me thinking (Uh OH! NOOOOO!!!!)

But seriously ladies and gentlemen. I wonder what the heck is going on. I wonder if there is a serious problem with the handset or there is some other serious issue going on behind the scenes

Seeing that P3 already has one and he hasn't mentioned any problems (yet) I wonder what exactly is going on. Delays on the UK release. No official release dates with VZW and no other mention of other carriers carrying it. I mean everything that can be done wrong is being done.

One month and not one carrier has it out to the end user. Just bizarre

I have been thinking the same thing. I remember seeing my first ad on the internet for the Galaxy Nexus and thinking yes it will be in my hands before I know it. Now I see more ads with no new info and am thinking come on give me this phone stop teasing me. There has been ads for this phone now since they announced it but yet there is no exact date for release. Why release the ads if the phone isn't ready?

If true, this would be an eerie "original blackberry storm" release feeling...

Anybody remember that??? Stock so small it sold out in around 3 hours around the country and only sold at official verizon stores...scary

My guess is we won't hear anything till after the RAZR official launch on Friday. VZW is WAY caught up in this clever little 11-11-11 11:11 thing.

So even if there was marketing planned its been put off till after Friday and they have their special moment...

This weekend and beginning of next week things will really start to leak out.

Went to the verizon store to check out a razr. It was a nice fone. Fast and bright. There were two display models in the store. One screen was just plain hot and the other was hot enough to fry an egg on. None of the other screens of the other phones were hot. Strange.

It felt strange in my hand. It was very wide, yet very thin. I didn't like that feel. Perhaps I'd get used to it?

Google is halting the release of the Asus Transformer Prime so that it will have ICS upon release. The way SGN is being handled Prime might be first to the market with ICS.

Or perhaps it will cause carpal tunnel syndrome?

That same criticism was levied against the DX. We all got used to it.

Yeah, I agree, absolutely nothing from Verizon guaranteed until after the 11th. Of course given their past behavior for non-droid launches, and even some droid ones, we will get an official announcement 1 or 2 days prior to release.

The screen really isn't curved, just the glass in front of it, so it shouldn't be that big of a deal from a manufacturing standpoint.
