You, my friend, just won the biggest prize of all for posting this: my gratitude!

I got so caught up in the "early December" reference to ICS that I didn't read about what a crazy bad ass device that is!!! Wow... talk about a super tablet - crazy netbook - thing-a-majgger. Has just about anything that anyone would ever want.

Yeah the Transformer Prime looks amazing! It is definitely on my Christmas list!

This was covered before. Developers can code them to disappear. Obviously none do that yet because the phone isn't out.

Touching the screen brings them back though so only useful for video, pictures etc.

The SYSTEM_UI_FLAG_HIDE_NAVIGATION is a new flag that requests the navigation bar hide completely. Be aware that this works only for the navigation bar used by some handsets (it does not hide the system bar on tablets). The navigation bar returns to view as soon as the system receives user input. As such, this mode is useful primarily for video playback or other cases in which the whole screen is needed but user input is not required.

I have just contacted the site I ordered my phone from. Here are the details for what it's worth.

Note, I ordered the phone directly from the suppliers website rather than through Amazon where they also sell.

me said:
The date for the handset on your Amazon site has changed to the 2nd of Dec, however on your website it remains the 17th November. Could you please let me know which date you are expecting the handsets.

We are still expecting on the 17th. If it changes we will let you know.

Good Morning GNexers! So is this the day we see a date? Not likely. But a leak of the 17th (or the 10th for that matter) would be awesome, don't you think?

P.S. I see someone played a practical joke on Steven, deleting a post so his 25k post is now #24999. Hehe.

Morning update from the FCC, no GNex last night, a couple monitors and one phone GTI-8150T. Looks like a midrange Galaxy S successor.

Anyone else notice that this thread has a world economy feel to it. Up one day, down the next. 15 minutes of good news followed by 30 minutes of presumably bad news. We monitor this thread so closely, because of our obsession, that unemployment may be the next thing we mimic. We DO need to focus a bit more on our jobs. Remember...we have to make money to support our growing gadget addictions. LOL

G'morning gnexers!! Long time lurker, like to back to around the 4000th posts or so, I feel like I know this great bunch quite well, though im new to you. I have been heavily entertained, and extremely up and down right there with ya! I always did love rollercoasters.

BIG CONGRATS TO YOU STEVEN ON 25000!!!

Maybe I can bring some luck with me so we all get a little good news today ?

Here's a link to help you out.

http://androidforums.com/evo-3d-all-things-root/400311-how-stop-google-backing-up-apps.html

Hope it helps!

Edit: Here is a quote from that forum to help you out:

Basically don't set up accounts during the initial phone set up since your apps are linked to your google account. The mass app downloads are only triggered when you set up your google account during initial set up. If you set up google account once your phone is running you won't have this problems and your contacts etc will still be synced.

is there a way to clear all apps from Google servers? there are an awful lot of old apps that i deleted from the phone year or so ago that are still on the server, how can i access that and permanantly delete them off server??

Looks to be another slow dissappointing day ahead. I'll check back periodically. I'm going to be incredibly dissappointed if this phone doesn't release on the 17th. Releasing it the week of Thanksgiving makes no sense.

Welcome to the looney bin. I'll take a little good news any way I can get it. :D

Now that is no way to start a day. You got to be optimistic. Leaks are unpredictable, who knows when a juicy one will pop up. Maybe Steven has a PM in his inbox from "The Source" this morning, and as soon as he wakes up, he will convey it to us. Or maybe Samsung will reconfirm the 17th UK date, which would at least tell us the Amazon thing is a one-off date slip.

G'morning G'Nexers! So, today is Wednesday the 9th. To me this means: if we do get a preorder and if the phone does launch on the 17th, then we should hear something either today or tomorrow, at the latest. I know both assumptions are contentious points, but here's to hoping, right?....

I hope that there is some leak or some new info today.

It seems like all the articles being posted are from old news articles and leaks that have already been discussed. I hope that changes today.

*good karma*
