I never ordered a cell via Verizon's web site,,,
My question is do they give you accessory deals on the web site like they do in the store when you order a cell?
 
The 17th being confirmed just made my day. I asked for a late shift that day just so I could get/play with the phone :O. It should also keep me nicely entertained on my trek to Fargo for a band gig. Y'all made my day!

Most of us are very optimistic about the 17th, but it's not officially confirmed yet. Hopefully you won't have a late night at work for nothing.

I'm going to hold off on taking a half day that day until it's either announced or mysteriously shows up on the site for sale.

Not quite confirmed, we just went back to what Steven's source has been saying all along because it made us feel better.

As far as cases go: I bought a case when I bought my Nexus One, used it for a week or so, then never used it since. It's collecting dust in my desk.

This was hopefully a post less likely to attract a ban-hammer. ;)
 
I now you guys dont beleive in the words of instore sales rep...yet last wee 11/3 to be exact i was approached about what phone i wanted to purchase(at the VZW store) I told him that i was waiting on the Gnex and he stated mid nov for avb. so 11/17 does sound good esp now that the cases are showing up Samsung Galaxy Nexus Cases Arrive at Verizon Stores – Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog but i wouldnt get to excited cuz we know how things like to get delayed SMH

It's not confirmed. Take it with a grain of salt until verizon says otherwise.

PS - Some people think we get all hot under the collar when we mod. But - we really don't. It's like watching cookies roll down the conveyer line - crumply ones just get pushed aside, tasty ones get sampled. It's not an emotional gig.

I think he may be referring to the fact that if you have a color like yellow or purple showing up, it's likely just a tri-color LED cluster (not official terminology) like they have in BlackBerry notification lights. On my old BB 8800, there was a custom app that let you set sliders for Red, Green, and Blue values so you could have your own custom light colors for notifications from different applications. Something similar for the SGN would be fantastic!

Ok, I see, thanks. I'm more used to simple multi-colored single LEDs, but I suppose you could do various things with those, depending upon how they're wired - hadn't thought so, but haven't checked either.

I haven't had a case on my Droid 1 or 2, but I may consider one for a GN. It'll be in my pocket when it's on me as it is since I don't do holsters, so it can't be a thick one. However, if the phone seems durable enough, I might let it go bare. :D
 
We're not going with the 17th because it makes us "feel better" and we're not taking it with a grain of salt, either. Those assessments are inaccurate.

What happened was that I heard from The Source, who said that hadn't heard the release date change, since he heard the 17th. S/He said that if S/he hears anything different, we'll be the first to know.

Additionally, accessories have shipped out to the stores. That's a good sign.

Yep. It's only confirmed, once Verizon actually says it.

But I'm expecting the 17th.
