Nice info.

I was hoping for the 2100mAh battery though. So since it doesn't actually say 1850 anywhere, perhaps the source would be kind enough to give the watt hour.

Oh, I know Steven's the James Bond of opera/android.. no question there. Just strikes me as funny/amusing how the beehive gets stirred up when he posts that he's got info.. I can just see all of us sitting on the edge of our seats.

Killing some time before I go wait in line for Skyrim and I come across some great news!

Please be the 17th b/c I've been growing a beard for almost a month now (Yes, I have a Galaxy Nex beard) and won't cut it until I have the phone in my hands!

My g/f has been ignoring my texts... plz be the 17th!

It has to do with family travel to my sisters house to visit. The most recent purchase was my Incredible. The dates we picked for the 12 hour drive directly interfered with online availability of the Dinc. My wife picked up on the fact that we had the same problem with my previous purchase. (I guess I drove her crazy obsessing) I would order my phone online and then have to leave town the next day for a Thanksgiving visit, only to sit and wait for our house sitter to call with the news of its arrival. So here we were at a different time of year (summer) repeating the process exactly. Skip to this year. We made plans for a Thanksgiving visit back in March, not realizing that the Gnex would be hitting around the same time. (Color me uninformed). This year's departure date is Friday the 18th. That means I'd place my order on...yup the 17th. True story. Can it happen to me three times in a row?

Fun to watch but typical of the VZW commercials.
They tend to make you want to buy phones because you'll become some Laura Croft character and fight robots; have lightening bolts blast from the sky to your phone, or now become a supercool motorcycle riding thief.

Fun to watch, but strange how they really don't like to actually show off the PHONE

Exactly, and a major difference between it and the iphone. Hopefully samsung will go more of the iphone's route with the advertising for the nexus. You'd think that the goal of the droid ads are to give fanboys erections and not actually show the capabilities of the phone.

I can do this as well. Since I'll likely get the phone at my office where I can't play with it, charging it to full shouldn't be an issue. Temptation will be strong though...
 
It's a cool commercial:

Verizon is selling an ATTITUDE, not a phone. That's the demographic they're targeting. And it does the job.

We Gnexers are a whole other segment of uber-techies who know better than to follow the commercials: we follow the SPECS.

And it'll pay off :)

BB, don't feel sorry for me...my house sitter knows the routine by now. LOL
 
That Droid RAZR commercial is frustrating to watch. It doesn't let consumers know what kind of cool stuff they can do with the phone or with android. In fact, the phone is shown for only a few seconds at the very end, and the OS isn't shown at all.

I really hope the commercial that is on the Amazon UK site fot the nexus is the same commercial they show in the US.

I can't tell you how many times I've heard people with iPhones say "check out what my phone can do" and it is something basic that has been in Android for the past two years. These cool features need to be marketed!

I could care less about some guy on a motorcycle that blows up some truck and steals a phone. *golf clap*
