What's taking Verizon so long???

If I'm on good coverage area of AT&T, LTE SGSII skyrocket is solid option I think. Maybe Aaron had some bad network issue with AT&T at that time. That happens, especially with AT&T.

But the Skyrocket phone itself is beast as seen in phonearena benchmark handily beating HTC Vivid with nearly the same spec. Excpet screen, it's pretty much the same spec as Rezound. I still think Sense UI is responsible for most of HTC issues like low benchmark, battery as Samsung seems to get away just fine with the same Qualcomm chips.
 
This is not a good sign...when the VP of Samsung is asked when the Galaxy Nexus will be released? And he says very quietly Later this year....WTF...the year is over in 7 weeks? This whole deboggle is annoying.

Verizon has a history of a tight-relation with Motorola. They are pushing the heck out of the RAZR right now, as they did with Bionic, and the OG Droid. All other smart phones have gotten very little advertisement, except for the Thunderbolt, and that was to only showcase the 1st LTE phone. Don't be suprised if see next to none advertisement on the device, as they only have partial control of the phone, what's on it, etc. If VW had their way, they would load it up with all the crap bloatware, because that's what they want and the interests that serves them best. But that's kind of why we all are wanting this phone...no VW bullshit on it.
 
Verizon is REALLY starting to piss me off!! Give us a release date already!!! WTF!! Where is the Verizon headquarters? I say we all get our pitchforks and demand this phone now! hahaha =)

Lol...u have to admit, what a lame ass answer! Now if it was January or even mid year,,,I can understand someone saying Later in the year! But when you have 7 weeks left? Such a friggin deboggle by all the parties involved...Vzw, Samsung and Google.
 
I think Verizon wants to hit the market hard before Christmas. I doubt they would wait until after for any of these. They might be saving black friday for the Razr and 4S, but the others will probably be first couple weeks of December. One last hurrah before the new year.

I just pointed that DL and phandroid posted week old news which doesn't give us damn clue on Nexus release date.

But I share your feeling that this is getting very frustrating no matter whose fault it is, be it verizon, Samsung or Google. According to our sources in the mega thread above, 11/17 is still on for Nexus release. So let's see.

I cant wait to put the nexus in my hand... I hope it lives up to the hype we've been giving it... I got very tempted to give the razr a chance when I saw it on display at my local vzw store yesterday..

I'm gonna grab the Razr tomorrow and see if it lives up to the hype...

Should be a fun couple of weeks.
 
I got to see and hold a razr tonight....

veryyyyyyy light, crazy even.....

still waiting on the nexus...

I am a sprint customer, but they have been pissing me off, so i am going to be switching and have bought a few older phones to get me by.....then i dont have to be locked in just yet...and i can use the upgrade for it...

slow and pokey hu? add in the fact that it rolls back to hspa+ and not verizon notoriously slow 3g and both can do voice and data at the same time. and its going to advanced in 2012. thats why i stay. well that and the fact that i have lte, great coverage in atlanta, unlimited data, a $70 a month bill, 10,000 roll over minutes and i can upgrade for full discount price every 6 months! im trying to hold out for the gnex to come to att but with it not having lte its getting tough

the results from texas were much better than these but i cant find the link

Update: AT&T checked into the molasses Skyrocket speeds, and confirmed there was a SIM card problem preventing the phone from getting an LTE connection. So, disregard those scores.

As I said...When they really get they're stuff together (at&t that is) I will definitely give them a hard look! Right now in NYC they're LTE isn't launched, but when they do I'm sure many will make they're move over to ma bell...

I can't wait, maybe when they give Vzw some serious competition in the LTE dept, vzw will be more apt to being more customer service oriented with prices and such.

Have fun with razr.
Maybe you need to get ready for disappointing razr camera. Phandroid review says the picture quality is not so better than previous Motos though speed is improved. Just saying this as camera seems to be very important for you.:)
