The Google giveaway on the Nexus twitter page has me intrigued and so excited!!!!! The release date must be close!!!! 17th baby!!!

Sure the 15000 or so that follow the rumor blog sites are going to know about and want the GNEX, but 15000, is a pretty small number compared to Verizon's customer base.

I wonder how much we overestimate the appeal of the Gnex just because it's a super sweet phone for those who care to look at the specs. That being said I'm almost 100% swayed over to the RAZR but it's based on the specs and the look/feel (it is sweeeeeet) and not the marketing.

*facepalm*

I just want the store rep to answer my hardware questions as a colleague not be distracted by my boobs so much that he isn't even paying attention to what I say.

+1

And with that, we're going to have to declare an end to the marginalization.

It's all in good fun, I know - but I think we're moving on.
;)

Severely is the term I would use. Hence why we are all severely nutz over the sgn :p

I'm about to go check out a razr around the block at my local yocal vz store. I think it's great you made your decision and are moving forward!

But I'm waffling! Help! Do I wait until the 17th so I can do a serious scientific pro/con evaluation or do I just say the heck with the last 6 months of waiting for the perfect phone that may never be *my* perfect phone but who knows???

I was thinking of Razr just in case Nexus disappoints me in some major way. But early user reviews seem to be mixed on razr battery and 3G/4G hand-off. I would suggest waiting until GNex comes out, so two can be tested together.

Does anyone know what the actual screen size not including the soft buttons will be (i.e. when web browsing)? Closer to 4.3", or 4.5"?

I just went to one of the local verizon stores and looked at the Razr. Neat phone but I was not extremely impressed. I did ask one of the sales people about the SGN and she walked me over to a guy at a computer. She asked him to pull up any info they had on the nexus and he replied without even looking at the computer, "it is coming out next friday, what else do you need to know?" I said that's all I wanted to know. I already know pretty much everything about this phone thanks to the great people on this forum. So I look at this as a pretty good sign for next week.

Love waffles btw :P

I can't answer what you should do, but I would love to! Advice would be to say yes wait till the 17th. If you've waited 6 mos then by golly you can stick it out.....!!!!

The perfect phone is what you find content with, be that what it may. gl!

Wow, I can definitely sense excitement in the air. I think we just had to get past this whole Razr release day thing. I suddenly feel more optimistic than ever.

It is 4.65" and I've read the soft butts take up 1/4" no? So that would be 4.40". This is just a guestimate sorry

Why didn't you ask him how he knew this, and how sure he was. And next Friday is the 18th, not the 17th. I would have questioned this man to death. :D
