Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

Hey Bloodawn you used to have a list that showed all the apps you removed and such. It was really useful for people like myself to compare and see what I needed to reinstall. Not sure what happened to the list it was originally there. Would like to see what you removed for 2.0 so I can download the mod and build from the ground up again.

Also are your going to update your themes for your new 2.0 release for Gingerbread?

If you can't wait, you could take your stock GB phone and in ADB do an "ls /system/app > /sdcard/stock_apps.txt"

then upgrade to CT2.0 and then, in adb run "ls /system/app > /sdcard/CT_apps.txt"

and then compare the 2 text files :)

No carrier IQ. No ads!!! :D
Only gripe i had was no gallery.
Fixed that issue with quick pic and all is good with the world.

Quick question I have a2sd working perfectly on the new ctmod, but noticed the vmheap size is 64...should i leave it at that or swith it back to 32???

I hate to ask this but I see on the front page a link to download on the front page for those who have gingerbread. So does this mean if I convert from froyo to gingerbread that I can use that rom to get root and have the custom rom ?

I don't think CWM can mount /system if your not rooted already

probably the easiest way to go from froyo to gingerbread would be using odin EJ06 Gingerbread Rooted with CWM5

then boot into CWM do a factory reset and flash the rom

damn Blood, you are quick

can anyone tell me what the Quadrant score is on Bloods Ctmod 2.0

Anyone,

went through all steps to get the ctmod and a2sd working. moved dalvik to sd. everything was working great.

But now i just unmounted sd card, i did wait for it to say safe, but now the screen is locked at storage settings, says mount sd card. No buttons work, home, menu, etc. nor do the power, volume, camera. screen doesn't power down either. plugged card back in, same...

Any thoughts? can someone explain what I did wrong, so i don't do it again?

you took out the sdcard while all the things that were needed to keep your phone operational were running from the extended partition.
Unmount SDcard only unmounts the fat partition. When running things from teh other partitions, you cannot take the card out while the phone is turned on

Thanks again Koumo,

After some thought, I realized what i did was kind of like throwing the car in park when you're driving at 65 mph. Not a good idea. Live and Learn. A battery pull set everything right.
