Root [ROM] CTMod 3.80 (04/06/13)

what do the notification widgets stand for? I can figure out most, but is there an index or guide? Thanks

If your talking about the xml, editing that won't do any good. if you remove anything from it icons will get messed up and overlap and if you move something around it won't actually change

the widgets in 2.0 are completely different then my previous widgets, I may be able to figure out a way to make them so they can be customized but theres no guarantee

wifi, data, gps, bt, snd, vib, brightness, air, sync, rotate
 
Hey blood with the ctmod 2.0 my phone is more responsive than ever, but I have an issue. Using the speedtest.net widget I dropped from an average of 1100kbs to 350 kbs in my download speed. So to see if this was accurate I did a recovery back to stock rooted gb and first test was 1152kbs. its there anything I can do to fix this so I can stick with ctmod?

i dunno man, ill have to look into it. does loading pages and shit actually seem slower or are you just going by speedtest?
 
Loading pages there is not that much of a difference, but downloading zip files like 187's mod there is quite a difference.
 
Just installed CTMOD 2.0 for GB and so far I LOVE it. I dont use Bluetooth anyway or at least very often.

but, after this I ran the CWM version of A2SD DarkTremour and it seemed to go through the zip just fine. This is the INIGO version that I have used sucessfully on Shabby .9 and GB Rooted.

I do not see the GUI in the app list. So, I can't turn it on so that it can start working. Is this normal. I tried reloaded Zeam, but I do not see it. It came up on GB and ran without a hitch. The sd-ext showed up in Titanium.

Should I download the A2SD GUI from the Market? Will this one work with the Inigo version?

I don't use A2SD so i really don't know anything about it, I saw other people say it installed and worked alright for them tho

No Biggie. I love A2SD and will get it running somehow. I will go back and rerread the threads unless someone can point me in the right direction. I downloaded the A2SD GUI from market but it did not work. I guess I need to get guidance from Inigo.

But, thanks for doing this so incredably quickly Blood! This is awesome! and adds a lot of functions as well as seeming to run much faster.

I will get back on this tomorrow. My WIFI tether is working so that is number one, A2SD is number 2 after that.

heres another one you can try if you want. in the first one i set something back to default and in this one i removed data throttle

try running like 5 speedtests with each one and let me know which one works out the best

You could try, that most likely won't work though. The gui should show if your install is successful. Are you using ext4, everything mounted during the install?

That was the problem. This time, I mounted everything and even formatted the sd-ext. Then ran the zip. The GUI showed up this time and the sd-ext shows up in Titantium.

Ok I tested CTmod first
(without test.zip) best was 1531ping,406kbs.download,108kbs.upload
(then...with zip) 168 ping,728kbs.download,296kbs.upload
then...(gb w/ koumakernel) 153ping,1206kbs.download,398kbs.upload.
I did all fifteen of these tests (5ea.) without moving from my chair. So signal was constant for the most part. The improvement with the test zip was good enough that I am happy with it. Didn't test so well but downloads didn't seem to drag. Thank for the help like always bloodawn.

Did you try test2 or just the first one?
 
blood, are those zips for 3g speed included in update or do we have to flash them seperate

No mater what I do I can't get this mod to install correctly. I've tried several times with CTMOD 2.0. I've used the EE14 with CWM and Hoark image with odin. I've used several version of CWM5. Actually I've tried everything I can think of and it still bootloops. Not sure what is going on actually.

Here is what I did:

-I odin to EE14 with CWM and Hoark
-I installed CTMOD 2.0 from zip using CWM
-I reboot
-always loops at the Galaxy Prevail Login screen.
-There has to be something I'm doing wrong.

Any help would be appreciated.
