These new phones that are coming out are so badass but I think I can get some more mileage from my Thunderbolt. Rooted, overclocked, Aosp rom, and extended battery is good for now.

i should of rooted when i first got the phone. only reason i wont root now is cause i dont wanna wipe data and lose all my saved game progress. backing it up on sd doesnt work only backing up when rooted saves all that. hey does 1 click root wipe data?
plus its super easy, and there is a vid on youtube that walks you through the steps!Revolutionary doesn't wipe your datait is the only working root method currently

ADB manual root doesn't work anymore
Correct the exploit used with it was patched with the GB update
Don't think so, you are locked into your contract until 20 months then you can upgrade at the contract price, otherwise you have to pay full retail as you have not finished your commitment to the contract for the last discounted phone you received.

Does that mean that rooted phones pre GB should be more valuable?!?!
If somebody makes a larger screen than the bolt that is non motorola I may check it out. I hope they come out with a small tablet phone.
Officially a member of the rooted club! Thank's a lot man!Now all I do is use a back up app (i use mybackup pro) back up all my data then flash a rom right? Which rom would you suggest?
p.s. even though this is from june, should i still follow these rules to flash a rom? just wanna make sure if these are still the current procedures. http://androidforums.com/thunderbol...91-how-some-root-terminology.html#post2812075 cause you said in a thread revolutionary comes with clockwork mod but rom manager says i dont have it so i wanna make sure if i should do what those instructions say.
Nope
The nexus has a larger screen and isn't moto
Flash CWM in hboot, I like liquid 3.1 currently, but you should try out a few roms
Does verizon have anything like the galaxy note (5.3" screen) on the horizon?
Samsung Galaxy Note will be the ultimate device. No longer will users carry a phone, tablet, camera, notepad, pen, paper and more — instead you’ll have the Galaxy Note. What Samsung has designed is a device with a 5.3″ Super AMOLED display with HD WXGA 1280×800 resolution, powered by a 1.4 Ghz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM and more. All this running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
Really? What size screen is the nexus? Is it avail on verizon? Will it be better than the TB?
There is alot to love about the TBolt, but the GNex has sooooo much more
of what I want I just can't resist. Since the Bolt has been great I am giving
it to the wife and using her upgrade for my new GNex. YIPEE!!!!
I totally already did this.Just waiting til the Nexus comes out and I hope it will be great, cuz I have no more upgrades left... Bleh.

Well, other than installing already-rooted roms![]()
