Going from the Thunderbolt to the Rezound, I was expecting a better picture quality. If my Thunderbolt's screen wasn't going out then I more than likely would've stayed with the Thunderbolt.

and if anyone wants beats by dre just root and install the eternity rom. best imo with sense 3.5

Doesn't the rezound have red highlights since it is a beats phone? Aren't the softkeys red?

big deal lol the rom is sense 3.5 and comes with rezound wallpapers and u can use the rezound battery. only thing ur missing is .5ghz of processor, and about 300 of extra ram. i'd still stick with a bolt than get the rezound. its not that much diff than the bolt. id look between nexus or razr if you want the latest best. omap is supposed to be a better processor than snapdragon too.

and an extra core in the processor, plus you get those cool Dr. Dre headphones, and the security of knowing that eventually HTC will upgrade the phone to ICS maybe even before the next version of Android is announced

Yeah the softkeys are red, just spray paint that mess if you want to be a "beats" wannabe.

Not that I don't believe in HTC's build quality  but how long until people start complaining their softkeys are turning pink?

When my softkeys turn pink I'll just post it on Ebay as a "Breast cancer awareness" phone or a "Mary Kay" phone.

I was a little disappointed with a side-by-side comparison. 720p Star Trek movie trailer youtube video.

Contrast looks a LOT better on the 'zound. Normally improved contrast is not so obvious. The whites are definitely brighter and the blacks are definitely darker. Could be angle, but even it if that is the case, that is still a positive for the 'zound. The TB looks overdriven--look at the lights in the background--they are flaring, but the area under Kirk is still not as bright as on the rezound.

I'm waiting for the iPhone to come out with a four inch screen then I'll jump on the apple wagon. I have had so many problems with my thunderbolt since day one.

true forgot about the extra core. I still think one is better off keeping bolt and not switching to zound and look to upgrade to razr or nexus instead. Just not enough difference IMO to switch to the zound.

traitor lol

Should I leave my Thunderbolt for the Nexus? What are the advantages and disadvantages?

I know the screen size says it's bigger on the Gnex but is the actual viewing size bigger than the TB?

Will I lose my unlimited data?

You shouldn't lose your unlimited data. The screen is bigger, I believe it can play higher quality videos, better processor, stock ICS, no OEM UI, updates should roll out faster.

If you aren't having issues with your bolt and don't have an upgrade it may not be worth switching

I got a deal on my TB paying cash. I have an upgrade avail with Verizon still.

I thought they said the screen was bigger to accommodate the home buttons etc but the actual viewable screen size is the same as the TB.

Thanks

For the most part I believe this is true but during some activities they are not there giving you full use of the screen. I know for certain that you get the full use of the screen during video playback and games.

You know I am not sure. Since it was released yesterday in Europe there is likely some discussion about it over in the gnex forum. I would hope you can use the whole screen to watch videos at least and have the softkeys go away like the play/pause buttons do currently.

LOL I hope not. I check out the gnex forum and it looks like no body is believing they wouldn't release a 32 GB version. I wish VZW would announce the phone formally so it would get rid of all the guessing games.

I heard 16 GB for now and 32 GB later. I can't believe they're being so greedy with the release. I doubt many people are going 16 GB and then I doubt anyone is going to wait around for 32 GB later. By that time we'll hear more about quad-core phones with 2GB of RAM and 1080p screens...

Yeah if VZW wants the GNex to be a success, they need to get this thing out ASAP..

I'm still not buying one, but Idk what they're waiting for. More and more rumors of what's to come are going to be popping up every day they wait.

I don't think they care about the gnex it isn't a "Droid" branded device. I will get a better device if they don't offer the 32gb nexus this year, it just shows their greed along with how they think of their customers as ignorant

16GB would be fine if it was removable, 32GB at least if it's not. I'm not sure what they were thinking by only having 16GB and no SD slot.
