Sounds good to me!

Screw 'em. We have all done it in a very respectful manner, so far anyway.

Can't keep up, is there actually an AF SGN meetup? I'll have to drop by if that's the case - been F5'in here since the D-Inc days.

I'm in for buying Steven a beer!

The only thing truly keeping me from going to play with the Vigor is that I know I'll like it because I know I like Sense AND I want Beam. I won't have anyone to beam with, but I want it.

maybe i'll go get a razr, return it, get the htc, return it..get the wonderous sexus.

i may be reaching here, but i'm pretty sure the majority of us are phone nerds. with that being typed..i don't believe the average user knows of even the 14 day return policy, let alone the extension that's just been posted.

so here's what i'm thinking & hoping. they release our nex in the next few days as we're "expecting" if there are any bugs..(i would not be surprised if there are any bugs being a new os) then you can return your phone...NOW-the masses of non phone nerds will encounter these bugs and say this phone is wack, i'm returning it for the htc/razr. w/e

but us..we'll know the updates will roll and we will hang on to it. Yes, yes?

I'm content to wait as long as it takes. The closer to January it gets, the more likely I can sweet talk a csr into letting me do an early upgrade on my wife's line. My wife told me she wants the best so I told her we'll be picking up a couple of GN phones. :)

For all those frustrated, remember what OTD's "contact" was saying earlier. Verizon did not loose a bet and therefore must carry the GNexus, Unfortunately just because VZW is being tight lipped about the release does not mean that anything has changed, P3 has been known to have bogus information, so no need to suddenly believe everything we are aware of has changed. Steven is checking his sources... In the Meantime... Stay the Course! :D

Man, it just seems to me like people are tired of no news and are throwing crap into the air. How many times now have we gotten info taking it away from the 17th, only for it to go back. Stay strong, the first two phones are out, all that's left is the GNex. Tomorrow. I got a good feeling about this.

Phil Nickinson just posted this on the AC forums:
"FWIW: I'm hearing last week of November, which would be on schedule, or the first week of December, which would be a week late.

Regardless, do you want this thing early? Or do you want it to work when you get it? (Loaded question, I know, and I'm sure we'll still see bugs at some point, right?)

Regardless, everybody chill a bit.

Now excuse me while I go contemplate importing a GSM version. :-/"

I don't doubt this guy at all FWIW

Not knocking blogs, but the whole SGN release date issue, just like the Thunderbolt, Incredible, etc really show that blogs know little more than a date range and just want to one up each other so they can be first to post that they have an exclusive when it comes to new info. I don't like AC because Phil pretends more than others that he's a "serious journalist" despite rumor mongering with the best of them.

Something tells me it won't be too long before you find someone to beam with (no, not innuendo..). I think there are going to be a relative slew of phones with the NFC chip in the near future.

Or just make new friends among the others picking up their Sexy Nexies the same day you get yours.

Especially if the chip will be in batteries and SD cards. All it will take is native software support in ICS, which I believe we already have. How awesome would it be for phones which didn't ship with it to get it after the fact from 3rd party.

I bet HTC is more than happy that number stands out sitting next to the Razr and soon the Nexus.

Yep, just like Intel's Pentium 4 that was higher frequency and appealed to uninformed end users when the Athlon was wiping the floor with it.

I think the IPC of the Nexus' OMAP processor is better than the Snapdragon. I guess once the Nexus comes out we will see some benchmarks :) Here's to hoping we see those in the next week or so ;)

Lurker here. Fwiw just walked out of a verizon store and they said early december at the earliest. I know its not a great source, but still.

That there are.. and in DC too. Over on Centreville myself. Other than the politicians, the whole NoVa area is pretty nice to live in I think.

Yes, DC as well. I work in Dupont Circle and live in Courthouse so I've got plenty of options

Its nice...but I was born and raised here and wouldn't mind making my way out to San Diego sometime soon
