Holy moly folks I think I just figured out what our problem is. Verizon CEO and whomever owns Phandroid is the SAME PERSON. He wants this thread to be record breaking and is thus holding off announcing the phone!

No doubt he'd like that :p

After babysitting tens of thousands of US he's more than qualified for the job, that's for sure!

Biography Channel needs to put out "Galaxy Nexus: Behind the scenes" as a documentary. Featuring the blurred faces and digitized voices of Google, Samsung, and Verizon insiders giving their fact-filled accounts of what really happened with this release.

Sorry to ask and not do the leg work, but I've been off the forum for a couple of hours and was wondering if Steven had heard back from his source yet? Thanks.

no, sorry.

Your goal, not mine. Mine is to get the phone, close the thread and get back to my humble, quiet, no drama life. :p

The fact that they released the ICS source before the phone strongly suggests that google expected the phone to be out by now and just stuck to their planned date for releasing the source anyway.

That is an interesting point. Either Google jumped the gun or they are just doing what has been planned for a while. I'd bet on the later. Meaning that VZW has delayed regardless of officially announcing anything to the public or not. 11/10 would have made sense for VZW with 11/17 for Europe and 11/14 for the ICS drop... just like they did last year. So the CF is definitely on VZW, IMHO.

Edit: Even more so that Google could not wait any longer because they have other partners, like ASUS, that they have commitments with.

Either that or some reality TV show called "I Neglected My Family for a Nexus" ;)
