Yep, I think this means mid-December. Ugh. Give us a release date Verizon! At least if they say "Yeah, we had some unforeseen delays and we will be releasing 12/15" we know when to expect it and can relax for the next two weeks.

I asked him when he thought the phone would actually come in. Hold me in a couple of weeks, certainly by the middle of December.

I thought well I know but it's coming in two days! Then I get a p.m. from the source. In it he confirms just that.
He states corporate reasons. I don't remember what he said I'm driving right now.

I can't copy and paste it right now because it's so filled with personal information that I can allow it to be made public.

When I get to work. I've got a hit the ground running but I will copy edit and paste it as soon as I can. I promise.

That's the gist of it. I wanted to get out the information as soon as I could not make you wait because I don't know when I can get to it. I'm very busy today.

Leave it to VZW to screw up everything. They delay the greatest phone to ever be announced on their network and give us a Razor during no-shave-november.

I think that the 10th leak and the 17th leak were real, based on Google releasing the source code yesterday. I think that VZW HAS delayed the phone (possibly until 11/21 or later). Those leaks were their internal memos (hopes/estimates), subject to change, not meant for public consumption. IMHO, the fake "leaks" are the nonsense about late December like Pee3 blabbers on about.
 
Ok, I still think Steven meant the 17th, but even if he didn't, he only said he was confirming what the CSR said which was mid-December by the latest.
"A couple of weeks" would still be the 28th...

But I don't think that's what Steven was trying to say anyway, though.
 
Thanks for the update Steven -- just sucks that we still have no idea when this phone is coming. I am going to push the Countdown Widget on my phone back to the 21st for a web only release date in hopes of seeing it then.

Yesterday at @OnTheVerge Matias stated a November release as well and there aren't many days left in this month for the phone to be released. Considering we haven't heard anything yet, excluding weekends and Thanksgiving we have 10 possible days left in November. If we want to exclude tomorrow since the 17th is the original date that leaves us with 9 days left in November for the phone to possibly be released (8 if you discount Black Friday). That just sounds crazy.
 
I'm taking it that his source confirmed that it'll be a couple weeks before we get the Galaxy Nexus. The latest it'll be out is one month from right now.
 
If this thing is released in mid-December, I'm definitely getting the HTC device this week, with the full intention of returning it as soon as the SGN comes out.

I will also force it to watch terrible, terrible things, and I will return it full of pictures of really bad, shocking stuff that will make the refurbish person throw up.
 
This is the most poorly planned release I have seen in some time. Many argue that Verizon has not spoken a word on the phone, but the phone was announced by Google and Samsung. It was common knowledge that the phone was coming to Verizon on October 14th. Over a month and no new information? I hope the rumor mills are to stir interest back up, because if the phone doesn't come out by this Friday, I'm jumping ship. I'll pick up a Razr or Rezound until the GNex comes out. I broke my Fascinate on the 14th and the announcement kept me from replacing it right away. Now I'm starting to realize I've wasted a month without a smartphone, only to have to wait another.

No problem - I figure I can keep the thread alive with stuff like this and all the cool things we can do with the Nexus when we get them.

Another cool thing I stumbled across (relating to NFC tags/profiles & tasker profiles) is some inspiration over from the RAZR forums. People are setting up some real good Smart Action profiles that we can use with NFC tags and the Tasker application (or something similar) - just something else to look into while we wait.

Yeah, but in the end, who cares what was genuine and what was Windsockish? The bottom line is that it looks like we're either getting Bionic'd, or Verizon is mickey-mousing around and trying to give the RAZR more time to sell.

We don't want it, Verizon. GIVE US THE NEXUS!!!!!

I thought it was tomorrow? But regardless, I put no faith in what he or Matias say about release because they work for Google. Google doesn't know what the frak those idiots are doing.
 
Verizon is extremely Ztupid (intentional) if they let everyone head over to T-Mo and ATT for Black Friday. It would be very possible to have several devices with beta releases of CM at or before mid-December.

Furthermore, VZW will continue to say nothing until mid-December? Just leaving everyone wondering? Beyond lame!

I see I'll be coming home with a Rezound tonight. How long will I own it? Only time (erm...Verizon...) will tell...
