Welcome, and congrats on getting the device tomorrow to play with. If an early adopter is getting a phone to test out tomorrow, doesn't bode well for a release in the next few days.
Please post pics, etc when you get the phone! We can live vicariously through you until it is released.
Also said he didn't get the Galaxy note until release day, so there's still hope lol

I will probably always be owned by at least one pug (rescued of course). I would never be able to live without snot mist, fur in my food or the sound of snoring in my ear at night.
They make some of the most ugly, disgusting, goofy sounds and gestures seem sooooooo awesome!!!! I don't know how they do it, but you gotta love it. But then again, I somehow tricked my wife the same way, so now that I think about it, it's pretty obvious why I like pugs, we're two peas in a pod!!!!

the extended return period just started today - it only applies to phones purchased after 11/15... try again tomorrow, and you'll probably get a different answer.
Ok, that would be great. My other fear is I didn't want to go that route until a firm date was released so I didn't get screwed. Chances are that won't happen, and the Nexus will come out in that period, right? Please?

No BS - not a time waster. Perhaps it would help if I tell you that I am one of the UK's Samsung Mob!lers. We are a group of people who get access to the latest Samsung mobile devices, some pre-release, to review and tweet about the products. You can find me on the Engadget US video titled "Samsung Galaxy R, Wave M, M Pro, W, Xcover, and Wave Y hands-on (video)". Google it and you will find it. You can also find me on the SamsungUK YouTube channels in the IFA Berlin videos for Note, Tab 7.7 and Wave 3. Hope this clarifies that I am not talking BS!

Probably means nothing actually. Judging from his posts, I have a feeling he's in the UK, and they are confirmed to be launching Thursday.

when VZW confirmed it was getting the GNex, it said it would release "before the end of the year." so, you're most likely pretty safe. but this is VZW we're talking about, so who knows...
I thought testing had already been done on the SGN.

The HTC zeta leak looks AWESOME on engadget... Did any of you check it out? If VZW messes around too long, people will start waiting on this beast.

Just want to clarify on the pre-release thing. The launch date is indeed in London on Thursday evening (I was invited but cannot attend). I am getting a pre-release version which will be eventually be replaced by a retail version. Only really getting it 2 days before release so it's not really a massively hard thing to have to believe!!

To my understanding he is talking about a finished phone that he gets pre-release to review, NOT a test phone that he is helping iron the bugs out of.
I could be wrong but pre-release /= test

The way I understand it is that its an eval/review unit. Testing IS done according to most sources. Much like Amber Mac on Google+. She got her hands on one last week. Sadly, other than taking a couple snaps with it, shes not saying a word about it.
These units make the rounds. One person gets it and it can easily be passed on to a colleague or friend and so on. So, its not totally unlikely that this kid is getting one.
