***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

Many of you saw my post the other day about how I called a verizon store and asked when the nexus is coming out, and the guy said "either end of this week or early next week." Well, I just called another store just now and they almost said the same thing word for word. They said they expect it next week if not the end of this week.

Man, they gotta know something new by now. Two different stores have said the same thing, when they were clueless in the past.

i said the same thing earlier today.

i went to my local store and they told me the 18th or sometime next week

To whoever said that the stores all got an email saying it was coming out the 18th:

I called 2 of my local stores here in Houston and both stores had no information. One of the representatives did promise to call me as soon as she knew anything, though.

The email said NOT coming on the 18th, per the manager.

Off topic (cause that's such a rare thing around here it needs warning)
/sarcasm

Just flashed cm7. Forgot how much I despise the stock keyboard. Then was running through the tips cause I just love #'s 9 (iPhone: you're holing it wrong. Always.) & 14 (Catroast : Always catproof your electronics, cats are bound to pee on them)

That is all.

Are you guys sure you want the nexus?

Just left a VZW store. Manager told me that all of the stores received an email today from corporate saying that the GN would not be launching on the 18th. Interestingly, they never received anything saying that it ever was supposed to be coming on the 18th in the first place. Basically the email was a one liner that didn't give any real reason or new date to expect. For whatever its worth...

Maybe, just maybe....the rampant speculation is gaining traction at VZW corporate, and maybe that'll make them feel the need to spill the beans?

For those of you really need a phone now and cannot wait, I really would agree with the source and recommend the HTC Rezound. The screen is clearer has more resolution is not as wide and it feels better in the hand. I'm comparing it to the razr by the way. Then when the galaxy nexus comes out you can exercise your option if you feel that the galaxy nexus is an upgrade. You'll just have to pay the $35 restocking fee, of course.

Me? I just got a refurbished droid X in the mail today. It is running so much faster and more smooth than my droid X that am even wondering if I need to upgrade at all.

Hey all,
I'm the guy on reddit who posted my hands-on experience with a Galaxy Nexus (link). Just thought I'd sign up here and join the discussions. I'm really REALLY hoping that the lady I talked to was right about the release, because I am really getting overly hyped-up over this... But all Verizon employees I've talked to say that they only know about the date once the manufacturer gives a date, and given the leaked inventory screen grab from earlier today, do you think it is at all possible that the phones could be in stores as soon as Friday (or Monday)?

I feel that there are way to much speculations, rumors, and unknown about the release date. I feel like there are also some dates that have been just thrown out there to stir some muddy waters. We are all going crazy every time a new unconfirmed date pups up. I honestly think that we will see this phone much sooner than 12/17.

You're asking us?

Whoa, mod master...of course you need to upgrade! We didn't ride all this way together to have you fall off the back of the covered wagon now! Get that ugly thought out of your head right now mister!!!

You're asking us?

Yup, because I don't entirely know how shipments to retail stores/preparations for phone launches work. If Samsung announced that the phones were coming to stores on Friday but employees haven't gotten any sort of indication of such a shipment at the time of the announcement, could they throw a fast one and ship out in one day?

If Verizon refuses to launch a good phone BECAUSE their customers want it then that is the last straw for me. I'm going to Sprint.

Verizon, I don't care how good your network is, if you don't care about your customers then you will eventually lose them.
