Root fresh 4.3.2 bloatware is back battery draining.

So I have been fairly happy with my fresh ROM. I was at 4.2 and it seemed to start haveing a few issues. Everything was delayed pretty bad texts, internet. Everything seemed to be delayed things would randomly freeze and close. Anyway saw the update for 4.3.2 today. Updated and everything seems to be stable and fast. I like some of the.updates. but bloatware is back! And my battery is suffering immensely. I have gone from 82 to 56 percent in about an hour. Any ideas? :(

do you have a kernel? if so are you using setcpu? what are your settings?

is your phone sleeping correctly?

I have the stock kernel. Definitely don't want to overclock battery life has always been my biggest concern and I haven't looked lately for a good underclocking kernel. I have used setcpu. But deleted it. I wasn' t a big fan. With every setting I used i saved a little battery at most but my phone seemed to function significantly worse unless I overclocked.

I went back and wiped my phone and fully charged last night and unplugged it about 10 hours later the battery seems to be doing well. Listening to music on internet and I am at 90%.

Would still like to remove bloatware though.

I would highly recommend using Titanium Backup pro from the market. Many options available at your fingers and well worth the pricetag;)

Battery calibration could be of some benefit but using a custom kernel and setcpu would probably help out immensely;) Trying different governors or setting screen on/screen off profiles can help also

+1 to everything that was already said.

setcpu must be used with a custom kernel, so if you have not flashed one, then it really is not of much use. also having too many profiles will just drain the battery just as much as it tries to monitor those profiles and thus wasting battery life. also depending on which kernel you use will decide what governors are avialable, but i would try smartass or interactive x, if they are available.

i would try and flash some kernels and use setcpu to underclock your phone. try the aggressive freedom kernel first (if you are using a gingerbread sense rom) and then work your way down the list. always give kernels a few days for it to settle in before moving on.
