Does he mean that this is a mod to convert the battery image back to the stock one?

If so, I'll pass on this update. I use Tiamat Sense kernel, I like the mods I have installed, and the Market did the rest already for me (well, except wifi tether and the host file, but meh...).
 
I would like to update to this version via the Rom Loader. I downloaded it through the App, and it tells me I need to reboot into recovery mode to install it. Should I first wipe the Dalvik and Cache before I update? What exactly am I wiping?

i would just wipe dalvik and cache. When ever you update from rom a to rom a.1 you should only need to wipe cache and dalvik. if you move from rom a to rom b if they are sense based sometimes you can get away without wiping data but i dont recommend that

Thanks! I just updated, and forgot that I would lose 4g / wifi, so I have to patch that now by reloading boot.img separately..... so far, so good...

Does the native Voicemail Notifier work with this rom?? I am currently running SteelRom and really like it...very simple, and everything works Expect Voicemail Notifier...have to run an app for that.
 
It's working on mine. I was using google voice, but when I wiped the phone, even though I used titanium backup root, it defaulted back to sprint voicemail with led notification.
 
Is there a working kernel for this ROM. Also i can not get this Rom to allow me to view any of my photos in Landscape mode.
 
It comes loaded with the MWalt kernel, if you want another kernel, it will be trial and error, there are many. You can install the old kernel that was on 2.7 BCBlend

... and now there's 2.8! Flashed it a couple days ago and wow, it is smooth! Really like ROM Updater and the CRT animation is awesome. Lol, I was sitting in a traffic jam and I downloaded, did a nandroid, wiped and flashed. Talk about constructive use of time! ;)

Amazing rom... this is the first thing i flashed after receiving my evo 3d. havent been on these forums in a while but will be joining in on the fun once more!

glad to see ya moved on to the 3vo. yeah i agree this rom is pretty sweet. the stock rom is the best i have had since the tiamat aosp kernel for the og evo. gonna be trying some other stuff out just for comparison.

yeah i have a monthly cap on my internet here at home and no cell service available here. so when im in dallas next week i will be flashing my rear away trying to figure out what i want to run with for sure. but as far as i can tell cleanrom 2.8 is a good start for me. i ran tiamat 4.0.4 on my cm7 loaded evo for the longest time before making the switch to alliancerom 7.6 i think....
ended up dropping it on the ground and the screen shattered... i was a little discouraged for a while until i got my grubby fingers on my beautiful new 3vo!!!

Thanks for posting Scott, I was keeping your Rom updated, so since you posted again, I merged my 2.8 thread of your Rom together, so not have so may threads out there. It looks nice and clean now and they can get all in one place. Great job, love your Roms.

Since the kernel hasn't changed...I guess I can install this in recovery without loading it via fastboot.
