I have a pre-release Galaxy Nexus

I think it was the result of some contest or something off of Samsung's Facebook page. I vaguely remember there being a contest back in the summer (like July?) and the winners were to be given the chance to be Mob!lers. Something like that...
 
Why would they ask him to hold fire?

There's videos of a whole bunch of loose Galaxy Nexus devices all over the web.

Specifically UK versions....none for us on this side of the pond!

But why would Samsung/Google whomever, ask this gentleman to keep quite till tomorrow!

Lol...are we getting a big announcement about the phone coming soon (again)

This whole old school Sony Play station, Xbox hype is just ridiculous in this day and age...I can see it now, each store and outlet getting only 5 devices in store to sell....eerily similar to the 1st iPhone launch in all the at&t stores.
 
haha finally got out of class to watch the videos. I would be so pissed if my phone came in a $1.50 bag like that. AND it was on... holy bajeezus would I explode.
 
Andrew - three innocuous questions -

1. can you delete that Google Search Widget at the top of the home screen or is it there forever whether you like it or not?
2. does the wallpaper scroll? by looks of the video - i think the answer is no.
3. is there a big digital clock widget available? i only see the small round analog clocks.

9 am UK time would be 1 am US Pacific Time, an hour after that Tmo/Google event. What time was that UK release (at Phones4U or whatever) tomorrow morning? There might actually be more than coincidence to all of this after all...

Generally connecting dots is a bad idea (I know), but the dots do seem close to lining up

How is that one hour after the Google/T-Mobile event? Lol. The event is at 10 tonight and the phone is released 9am tomorrow morning.

Oh sorry, I thought I had read that the Tmo/Google LA thing was at midnight PST, but it is midnight EST...
 
One last update from me before tomorrow 9am. I have 5 videos that will be available from 9am one of which is just a personal note RE: reactions to my content. No written review or overview yet - that will probably eventually follow over the weekend but from what I have gathered you guys would probably prefer video anyway. Right - home, food, bed. Night!

Is Samsung Mobile Tech a completely separate company by an entrepreneur like Android Forums?
 
can you customize alerts with colored LEDs?

for example, can you set color A of texts, color B for missed messages, color C for visual voice mail, color D for gmail, etc? If so, is this done within the system settings or in the app by app basis?

I'm in AUS and have pre order from Clove. Was told yesterday that the launch for the SIM free unlocked UK version was getting delayed till the 23rd November (subject to change).

My point is that these teaser videos are making me craaaazzzyyyyy :mad:

Regardless, thanks for going through all the trouble for posting videos and your impressions.

I'm still jealous though! :p

PS. How's it feel in the hand? Too big? Slim? etc

I don't understand why people feel the need to bash every single person that tries to give info. If you don't buy it, then fine. He's not conning anybody out of money or stealing peoples identities. At worse, they are just false reports about a phone. I would imagine it's infuriating going out of your way to make videos and answer questions just to be met with this kind of criticism.

Well, I guess we might know why they told him to hold until 9a now. It appears that at 8am, the Galaxy Nexus is going on sale in the UK. Phones4u just announced on Google+ that they will exclusively be carrying the phone in one of their retail stores starting at 8a on Thursday. <curses Verzion!>
