Testman is down again... I only know of this thanks to you all. But alas its down, also adding my post to get the count up!

*testman just gave me a verizon is unavailable page*

Do you think most of the Market apps will run right away on ICS? That is my only trepidation because when I upgraded my DX to Gingerbread it took a while for some of the apps I used regularly to be upgraded to run right.

I'm pretty sure just about every app will work on ICS, because from the videos I've seen ICS supports legacy app UIs (such as the title bar, certain input methods, etc.)

I too am worried about that "snap" connection. Hopefully we will not need to do a battery pull to reboot.

According the the Verge "review" the battery cover is extremely thin, feels flimsy, but Samsung spent a long time in the design of it. I wouldn't worry about it

Is there anyone else coming over to the good side from fruit? Sadly I've been an iPhone user since the day the original came out but I've been sitting on the 3GS waiting patiently for my 2 years to be up then the perfect phone to come out.

DYING OG DROID USERS... AND OTHERS

How will you destroy your current mobile? I was asked this by a co-worker the other day. We started brainstorming.

1- Death by machine: The airport I work at is currently having parking lot work done. Having them crush it with their vibrating compactor (or by slamming the bucket of the ditch digger on it. Very aggressive maneuver- would be very satisfying.)

2- Death by suffocation: Bury in cement. Less satisfying... but more like a proper burial.

3- Skeet shooting: Self explanitory.

4- Death by heat: Either boiling with propylene glycol (high pressure spray gun included. Might cost the company a small fortune-- double satisfying.) Or by directly melting with the heating element for the de-icer.

5- Death by fall: Throwing from atop the grain elevator in town.

Of course, before it really became difficult to use, I planned to let my little girl use it as a media player and over wifi. I guess if factory reset and re-rooting help at all I might still go that route.

What say you guys?!

I have a colt 1911 that LOVES putting old electronics out of their misery :D

Current Inc owner and (semi-)lurker weighing in and doing my part to help break the record! It's been awesome to follow this thread, and it's hard to believe how close we seem to be to the end!!

Quoted from the Verge's hands-on review (in case you haven't read it in another thread):

The Galaxy Nexus is the best Android phone ever made. It's one of the best smartphones ever made, and with a couple of minor tweaks (particularly to the camera), it could be the best smartphone ever produced.

WOO HOOOO!!!!

:D :D :D :D :D

EDIT: A posts-per=day record???

You go right ahead and work it up. We'd love to see it :)

I've had droids, had a fruit for the last 7 months, going back to anrdoid. Borrowing a rezound until I can get a Nexus.

Why do I have the feeling that my speculative post on that yesterday is the source of the rumor today? :) ;)

One or two said that they heard from VZW preorder tomorrow and in stores on Monday. Since we have every day covered for the next two weeks, someone has to be right, huh?

This has become more like an office pool than anything really telling :D
