I really hope this phone comes out on Monday like rumored...

I plan to have my phone naked, but put it in a sleeve like the Nexus One. I emailed Sena to see if they were making an Ultraslim leather sleeve for the gnex, but they said they currently don't have plans to make a case for it, unless there is overwhelming demand. I hope more people email them because I would love a high quality leather sleeve to protect this beast.

Welcome to the forum and thanks for posting!

To be honest, I'm currently using a Samsung Fascinate and it has a 5MP which takes some excellent pictures. I have captured some amazing shot with this phone and we (as a family) may continue to use the the phone as a camera on occasion. Here is a shot I took in Texas while I was driving to Colorado from Georgia.

Is it the best image ever from a camera? Of course not, but it works for me.

In my mind, I would rather have the second best quality, non-blurry picture of something that happens than the best quality photo in the world of a blurry kid or pet.

I dont mind taking a small hit in camera quality to have zero shutter lag.. That's one of the features i look forward to the most.

I believe this'll be the first phone i carry naked... I will of course be buying VZW insurance from day one though.

Im with you... I don't need the absolute best camera out there, just so its high quality. Oh, and zero shutter lag ;)

That was one of the requirements my girlfriend had when we got our digital camera. We were so tired of missing shots by just a split second when the kids were super little and couldn't sit still. I will love having it on my phone even more because I always have that with me.

There are many 8MP cameras that produce poor quality pics. You really can't judge a camera's abilities by its megapixel count. And there are other compromises to consider, too: for instance, would you trade pixel count for better low-light capabilities?

Android novice here. While we're on the subject of the camera, is it possible to use the volume rocker to take photos rather than the on screen button, as per iOS5? On my soon to be recycled iPhone, it has made taking pics much easier.

Good question... Every video I've seen so far has shown them using the on screen button...

Idk, I think speculation makes more posts. Unconfirmed rumors are probably the best. Or something we cant agree on. or something like "so I decided to get the iphone 4s because it has a higher megapixel camera so it must be better and android is confusing and siri is something I will use in my day to day life and the new notification system is totally original and innovative, and the screen has a higher ppi therefore its more hd and better than sgn. Its funny how apple made the first hd screen so long ago with the iphone 4 and its taken so long for google to copy them again, because that's all they ever do. oh, and since the iphone 4 was 4g (why else would it be called 4) the iphone 4s must run on the "speedy" version of the 4g network, thats what the "s" stands for right?"
 
Either way... I'll be happy like a pig in mud as soon as we see ANY sort of confirmation...! I called and added my extra line today so i'm all set to buy the bad boy..

That is one of the best features of iOS 5. Love the volume button to take pictures. Hopefully this will be a feature of ICS. If not, there's always the possibility of it being included in a custom ROM (are you listening Team Cyanogen Mod?) or maybe a third party app.

I did get all excited earlier bc I received an email from VZW at 0100 hrs CST and it was titled 4G phones. I was like, "This is it!" Unfortunately it was just about the double data deal. :mad: I'm grandfathered into unlimited data, VZW, why would that deal interest me?

I'll be jumping at every email until we receive official word.

And speaking of iPhone, I'm rocking the iPhone 4 currently. There wouldn't happen to be an AndroidForums app for the iPhone, would there?
