Joining in again! Hopefully today brings us some good news. Debated on staying up 'til midnight to see what may come, but that didn't pan out. Anyway, good to be back. Come on, big news!

I tried to contribute last night but I had a 2 year old that would not cooperate.

Fell asleep with my phone in my hand. My wife is really starting to wonder about me. She is not the only one.

My wife too...she can't believe on spending this much time reading about a phone. I can't either!!!

Guys, I've got a question, please bear with me on this.

I currently have the Bionic and I'm planning on picking up the Nexus on its release. Assuming I'm not happy with it (yeah yeah, I know), I'd plan to swap it for the Razr. Now here's where things get a bit complicated.

If I'm not happy with the Razr and decide to back to my Bionic (which a friend is waiting to buy assuming I keep one of these other phones), will VZW allow me to return the Razr? That would be a full retail purchase of the Nexus, followed by a swap (full retail again) to the Razr and finally, if all else fails, a return and reactivation of my Bionic.

What do you guys think? Will they allow this?

So I've been preparing if the phone drops in-store with little or no warning.

The Verizon Corporate store is 12.24 miles from my house. I have a VW GTI which I chipped up to 268bhp and 298foot pounds of torque so I'm in good shape for a speed run. I've made some trial runs and the average is 17.2966666 minutes considering lights and traffic patterns (which I can't seem to control but experiments continue). I have practiced plugging in the radar detector with one hand for added protection.

The car is full of gas at all times, my Nook charged, plenty of smokes, cold drinks, an empty bottle (you figure it out). I've been wearing several layers of clothing so I am prepared for any weather. I have a note pre-written so my wife doesn't freak out if I disappear suddenly ("Honey, the phone has been released and I am off to Verizon to get one! I'll either return with it in hand or choke their rivers with my dead!").

I could not be more prepared. It's just a waiting game now.

I'm joking! I mean, come on, does that sound real? The Verizon store is really 12.26 miles. Suckers!

I dont see why not. Be prepared to pay 2 $35 fees with that scenario.

As long as you return within 14 days of the first phone purchased, you should be ok.

Me too!

OK...I have to hit the road. I have a 5 hour drive back to Atlanta. Everyone call me if something breaks. My number is....just kidding Steven58 =)

Have a great day! This is the day!
or Monday, maybe Tuesday

You'll know if I know. :D
Safe drive back.

Watching that I kept thinking, "Leave the phone alone. Stop moving the phone! Why do you keep turning the phone? Hey Captain Nervous, stop moving the stupid phone!"

I'm easily irritated by mundane things. :)

I knew I liked you. So am I

I'm seriously contemplating putting my phone in a ziplock so I can stay updated in the shower.

Been there. Not with this forum but i've done it. Duct tape the zipper and your set.

I stand by my prior statement. I really like you. This is damn funny.

Awe. Some.

People were pointing out while discussing the buy a rezound while waiting for the SGN that the verizon policy only allows 1 exchange per purchase. So you'd likely have to return the phone in full, and begin the purchase anew.

My Beloved OG Droid is SO ready for semi-retirement... this phone simply cannot come out fast enough!

If Monday is the day, I will be at the corporate store 20 minutes before they open, ready to walk out and post a pic of me, the Droid and my new Nexus! :D

Hi Chief, I am in the exact same boat! Though I am on my second OG Droid w/cracked screen... Come on Verizon!

Ah! That's what I was driving at. I was a bit nervous returning the first phone, swapping out for a 2nd different phone and then returning that 2nd phone to reactivate my original Bionic.

Sounds like you're saying I can't do that and should simply return the first phone and start an entirely new transaction for the 2nd one (no swap).

Thanks!

Remember, Verizon has an extended return period for all purchases made after November 15th. You have until January 9th.

Be careful with this. Multiple places have clarified this policy. This is only for purchases that aren't activated. Once activated, the usual 14-day policy is in place.

I'm pretty sure once you swap the SGN for the RAZR you'll be done. It's my understanding that if you take back a new phone and get another new phone that your return is final. Make sure to check VZWs T and C's to be sure though.
