Oh my gosh, I am used to an up day, down day, up day, down day. But right now in one hour we had confirmation of next week by Han's sister, P3Droid craptastic mid Dec. tweet, an Ad schedule showing 12/8, and now an excellent teaser by OTD. AAAAAHHHHH!
 
There are so many conflicting rumors with people saying NEXT WEEK, Monday the 21st and now Dec 8th? lol everyone has a "source" but obviously they don't know anything since the date keeps changing, the longer I have to wait the less excited I am for the phone Verizon should just announce the damn date.

The rep had the phone and store manager was nice enough to play along and act like I was an off the clock employee to let me play with it for a minute or two. The rep was there to more or less go over the phone and he basically covered everything we've seen in all the YouTube videos out there.

About the Nexus:

It is fast. It may be bias on my part or it may just be ICS, but it seems to be faster and smoother than the Razr or the Rezound.

The screen is absolutely gorgeous. I really don't have words to properly describe it. Take the rezound screen and make it better, that is all I can come up with.

The size is like a pretty good combination of the Rezound and the Razr. It doesn't have the width of the Razr or the thickness of the Rezound though. The curve is very subtle and I almost forgot that it was really there.

The phone really functioned flawlessly too. With LTE it was blazing fast to bring up the web and the market. I didn't see music in the market on the phone, btw.

The rep demoed the camera and it really is just about instant. Tap the screen and you have a picture and the phone is ready to go again right away.

He also showed us Face Unlock which was really cool, but I can't see using it all that often unless I'm just trying to show off the feature.

Someone asked what the build was at it was 4.0.1 so I don't think this one has had the update that people were talking about.

I asked the rep about a release date and he said that it was on Verizon, but he was hearing next week.

That is all I've got. I only had the phone in my hands for a couple of minutes and had to pass it to someone else. I almost cried.

The one last thing I will say, I don't see anyone being disappointed with it. The wow factor is just too high.

Thanks for the info, especially when you had to risk going out in sunshine to see it. Hopefully no Italian restaurants nearby so you didn't have to deal with garlic too.
 
i'm getting sick of this roller coaster. for real..nexaholism > ulcer ... bad things

i'm putting my faith in the sources here. Ty steven for love tunnel and han for hanette.

maybe these other folks just want to see us beat the Dinc thread and is why they are messing with us and putting up december release dates because they know it'll set us off and we'll page a minute this sht
 
Also another thing about that spreadsheet. It says at the top Launch Date/End Date. Who's to say that isn't just the end date? and the Launch date is on the cut-off part of the sheet we can't see.
 
If you look at the rest of that picture.. its all about window signage... maybe Dec 8 is when VZW will start advertising the phone.. at least i hope thats the case
 
Everyone needs to calm down. It will be available in one way or the other on Monday. Whether in store, on-line or both. There are too many independent confirmations of the facts to be wrong. None of the information can be taken independently as truth, but with so many independent confirmations, it will be available Monday. Breathe deep. It's Friday, but Monday's a comin'.

Hi, Level 99 Lurker here.

The picture does look like an advertisement schedule..

Note how it says NEW pop yard sign, as if maybe its replacing old sign

Also maybe the that is the instore date as someone else noted.
 
if that's when the marketing BEGINS, then i'm going to have to throw up and say yes..mid december. how are they going to give us a phone a month early and advertise for it a month later. :( i'm going to forget i read/saw/heard anything about december nex.

Definitely, and I wouldn't put it past him. As I said yesterday, I really hope the 21st is legit, because windsock will totally have to eat crow.
