***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

I don't mean to sound like the thread police, but we're all on edge and super frustrated at Verizon's lack of consideration for their customers but the phone will be out within a few weeks let's try not to take out anger at each other.

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend and has an awesome Thanksgiving!!! This too shall pass...

Count me among those who don't believe the 16GB. This flagship ICS phone would just look stoopid alongside the 64GB iP4S. Hell, the Droid Charge comes w/2+32GB and that's been out for awhile.

FWIW, I'd be delighted with a 16GB GNex for $199, but most of you (and the general user population) wouldn't be, and GooSamIzon know that.

I am just hoping the change on the specs page was a mistake. I don't put music on my phone typically, but I would want to have more storage just in case I change my mind down the road.

My thoughts exactly. I didn't even fill up half of my Thunderbolt's 32 GB SD card and with Google Music the only thing I really need to worry about taking up space is apps... I could probably even go for an 8 GB model lol.

The only thing that would disappoint me about it is there goes my chance to get the 16gb one for less than $300.

I honestly don't think the double data thing is going anywhere before Christmas. Verizon doesn't usually do things like this and then quit them after a week or three.

Now that you mention it, that's almost exactly reverse to how this happened. Before a Nexus phone was released to eveyone except verizon who had to wait 4 months to get the incredible.

Now a non-nexus phone (SGSII) was given to everyone and verizon has to wait months to get their version (Galaxy Nexus).

At least one thing's consistent. If you're on Verizon, you're waiting.

And the result 2 mega threads with posters on the verge of mental breakdowns. Congrats Verizon, you win.

I'd be buying a Rezound tonight if I knew for sure that only 16 was available.

I travel a lot and always have music, movies and books on my phone...this one hurts. I am checking it out in the morning myself. The ReZound was the phone I wanted in the first place but talked myself into getting ICS sooner rather than later.

Yeah, it does. Everywhere else Verizon talks about the phone they call it the Galaxy Nexus or Samsung Galaxy Nexus. A typo in one of the words, sure.. that might not mean anything. Leaving out part of the name of the phone this late in the game? That wouldn't get past the people who review those documents before they go out - especially when there is a competing phone called a Samsung Nexus S out there.

Combine that with the other circumstances of the leaked picture and I'm calling shenanigans on it. Verizon may be the evil empire and may be stupid for the way they are marketing/holding this phone back compared to the Razr, but they don't often mess up message-wise internally from what I've seen - unless the wireless division is completely different from the landline/fios part of things.

This, and the fact that if one single Verizon store got this memo you would think it would either be a mass message to ALL stores, or just another "proposed" date made up by someone at the store... basically the fact that this memo didn't show up at all stores is reason enough for me not believing it.

I wonder if this whole fiasco of leaked dates and back and forth stuff is part of the plan to drive up interest and demand by getting free press from the cell phone review community. Just look how much the nexus has appeared in twitter and Facebook with zero cost to vzw. Even bad press is exposure of the nexus to someone that isn't following its every move. Pisses us off but brings attention to the device to the regular consumer.

Am I the only one now really concerned about the 16/32gb? Granted I would rather have a 32gb, but its by no means (to me) a deal breaker. Right now I use about 7gb on my phone and I have everything I want on there. Now with Google Music I can probably cut that in half.

Everyone has to do what works for them, but I'm only interested in 32GB. I need to store some movies for off-line use. Hard to explain to the kids that they can't watch a movie because the area has bad reception. 2 year olds tend not to understand things like that.

Bigger is always better - at least that's what they say. I'm of Irish descent, so that doesn't apply to me. :p

No seriously, I would like to have the option of the 32Gb version.

I'm not talking about phone releases, that is different. I'm just talking about the little nuance chances they make to their data plans and such that are for a "limited time" and turn out to last a while

Keep in mind that Verizon has a s**tload of customers, more than any other US carrier. For them to be careful with internal planning and things like the GNex release date is expected, because they have to think strategically and not just satisfy our (0.01% of their customers) wishes.

I would be happy with a 64k GNex or one with an SD card for $10,000. The cloud just doesn't do me any good on planes without wifi or on private island without signal. No trolling here as I love android and I'm getting the GNex but I thought Apple was the one that limited our choices; make future phones with an SD slot.

Most of the salesman/women see these phone launches all the time they probably don't even read the messages they get half the time. The Verizon Executive lady I spoke with wasn't even aware of the extended return period. Seems like the bigger a company is the less communication there is.

A picture of a screen showing a picture of a screen... sounds a bit sketchy to me

Whoaaaa, that's meta!

Just to make sure, with the $35 restocking, the rent-a-razr/rezound does cause them to lose money right?

I'm sure it does. They can't sell a (briefly) used phone as new, and I think used phones are usually discounted by $50 or more. I'll take advantage of return/exchange policies as needed, but I won't make a purchase knowing I won't keep the item.

Lol hilarious. This is whose than the Iraqi dinar reevaluation . So much air blowing around.

I was actually okay w/the Iraqi dinar reevaluation. Didn't affect my family at all.
