I'm tellin ya guys, between the bug reports coming out overseas, and the non-stop date pushbacks here in the USA, this is all starting to have a very "Bionic" feel to it.

Not good, not good at all. :( :(

The bad thing with the face unlock feature is that it won't work in the dark, right?

size is nice, fits my hand perfectly and is very comfortable.

weight is not too bad either, heavier than the bionic, lighter than the thunderbolt. texture on the back is very nice also
sense 3.5 is by far the best android overlay I have seen from ANY manufacturer.

and so far, 48 hours in, the battery life is nothing short of phenomenal, especially for 1620 MaH!!

It truly is amazing battery life especially when you compare it to the Thunderbolt.

What kind of bug reports from overseas?

If someone is going to send this letter to Verizon I would also send something to a news source like MSN. With some of the crap they put up there is a good chance this could land on the home page of millions of people. If that doesn't get Verizon to do something nothing will.

Good call!! Send it to a couple and see what happens!!

I agee it is a very nice phone. If the GNex only has 16gb, I will have to get the rezound.

I think there is a very good chance you will want to buy it. I could not be more impressed with mine so far. I am still concerned about the battery life and am evaluating the phone primarily on that basis.

Another suggestion I might make is to maybe wait until Monday to email the letter.

If we email it today, it will get lost in a flood of other weekend email in their in folders.

Also, we don't know what Monday brings. This angst could all go away by a release or an announcement. Too much evidence still points to next week.

I had a dream about the Nexus last night.

The UPS man stopped by my house and dropped (literally) a package on my porch. I opened it up and it was an LTE nexus. Then I woke up.

Yep, that's about all there was to the dream.

Yea, i was thinking the same thing. Monday morning might be the best time to launch and we could advertise on here to prep for a monday morning email petition to be sent to verizon...once everyone comes back from the weekend. Monday..we could get a strong amount of emails sent out + a really good version of it finally done. Looks good to me already.

Maybe in tonights dream you get to open it? :)

I imagine that depends on how dark it is. I would imagine that at a minimum, face unlock would be slower under low light conditions, just due to limitations of the camera.

you all need to boycott verizon. import an unlocked GSM phone, and switch carriers and call it a day. All this is beyond BS.

now, no matter how the other carriers handle their deals with the SGN, they will look good compared to this FUBAR mess

Man you have the bug bad. I think you need to step away for a while :)

Is it just me or is that beautiful Motorola Razr looking better and better? To be fair, this may just have been that guy's phone. The article makes it look like a problem with the phone in general.

I walked in to the corporate store last night, and told the manager I was there to take advantage of the rent-a-RAZR/ReZound promotion they had just implemented until the Galaxy Nexus was released. I could tell he was none too happy with me by tone in his voice when he said, that release is imminent. I asked him to clarify, and he said he couldn't. So I said it was well worth the restocking fee to me, and that's exactly what I planned to do. I decided on the RAZR after talking with the sales rep, who told me that they are only allowed so many phones to be returned per month before it affects their personal commission, the stores satisfaction rating, and basically everyone's money. She begged the store manager for any information on the release, because she obviously did not want me to return a phone.

I felt bad for her, and almost decided not to do it. After I thought about it for a while, one thing that she said really stuck out in my mind. She said it looks bad on the store when you return a phone, because they let you walk out of the store with a device you weren't happy with, effectively, the wrong device. That is when I made my decision to Rent-a-RAZR. Honestly, I may return this for a ReZound even if the GNEX doesn't come out soon enough though. While I don't care anything about the overpriced headphones, the dual core processor did make the phone very fast, and the screen is pretty damn good IMO.

Okay, guys, I "edited" the letter, but now that I look at it, I think I mangled it. I added a few paragraphs that I thought were necessary, reworded others that I thought needed more respect but firmness, etc.

Sorry in advance. I tend to run away with something once I get excited.

Whichever way you guys want to word the letter, let me know and I can provide the addresses. I don't know how, since last time I did it they were deleted, but let me know and I'll figure it out.

Send! You have my thumbs up, and full support!

I think I am done with this phone. I might buy it if the updates are still coming from Google but at this point panda says that this phone is not even a Nexus anymore due to Verizon. I am not going to buy this to wait for updates.

I am currently 5 months into my contract and was given an early upgrade so I am going to use my last upgrade and after this contract runs out I am going to Att. Verizon really knows how to mess up. I am thinking about just going with an Iphone at this point.

Razr is not even an option for me because i don't like the way it sits in my hand, just too wide. Also the screen is nothing to write home about. Rezound specs are nice, screen is very nice, but the phone is just as plain as the rest of HTC phones that are out. Just nothing special about it that stands out to me, no character. So as upsetting as it is that the delay for SGN keeps extending, I will stick it out and get what I am really after.

PS. Never found a need to have more than 16 GB in the phone.

Personally I'd go with the Razr for one important reason, the radios in the Motorolas seem to be better. Frankly, I've never seen anyone express concern about the radio in the Nexus and that really shocks me...after all, it is a Samsung. From my experience with the Charge and the Bionic, the Motorola is clearly using a better radio and has less issues in picking up 4G or making the 3G>4G switch. The 2 Samsungs I've had have also had tremendous issues with accurate and quick GPS...they've been neither.

My Samsung Charge was a nightmare for these issues as many many owners can attest to. I'm still worried about that with the Nexus. After all, this is still a phone first and must be adept at capturing that 4G signal.
