I walked in to the corporate store last night, and told the manager I was there to take advantage of the rent-a-RAZR/ReZound promotion they had just implemented until the Galaxy Nexus was released. I could tell he was none too happy with me by tone in his voice when he said, that release is imminent. I asked him to clarify, and he said he couldn't. So I said it was well worth the restocking fee to me, and that's exactly what I planned to do. I decided on the RAZR after talking with the sales rep, who told me that they are only allowed so many phones to be returned per month before it affects their personal commission, the stores satisfaction rating, and basically everyone's money. She begged the store manager for any information on the release, because she obviously did not want me to return a phone.
I felt bad for her, and almost decided not to do it. After I thought about it for a while, one thing that she said really stuck out in my mind. She said it looks bad on the store when you return a phone, because they let you walk out of the store with a device you weren't happy with, effectively, the wrong device. That is when I made my decision to Rent-a-RAZR. Honestly, I may return this for a ReZound even if the GNEX doesn't come out soon enough though. While I don't care anything about the overpriced headphones, the dual core processor did make the phone very fast, and the screen is pretty damn good IMO.
