***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

So wait a minute. My thinking is that when and if verizon ever releases the galaxy nexus this will be the very first phone ever released by google as a pure google device to have get rooted to get a rid of the verizon bloatware. It seems odd but true. Oh most feels like it's not a pure google device. I almost feel as though will struggle to get timely software updates.

Things were awesome. We were expecting. Then things went terribly south with a possible Dec. release and maybe 16GB only. A letter was started. We got shut down. We behaved...a little. We were allowed back in. Things are...okay. We still know nothing.

Well if someone could help me figure out how to get my network back on my droid, then I won't. I can't figure it out, and I need my phone to work. I can't make/receive calls or send texts.

I've activated using 228 plenty of times, and still nothing.
 
Thinking out loud about the 32gig vs. 16gig rumors.....

It is my belief that VZ is stalling to frustrate Nexus buyers into going the Razr / Rezound route....not bugs no technical issues, just stall tactics as a way to move the phones they want us to own on their network.

So lets think logically without emotions at this, every source, every leaked document....everything we have seen on Googles site until yesterday was that Verizon was getting the 32gig version of the Nexus.

So now lets move onto the next piece this puzzle.....

Do we believe that Verizon was at some point ready to release the Nexus on one of the rumored dates that we have all been anticipating...Oct. 27th, Nov. 3rd, Nov. 10th, Nov. 21st, Nov. 24th, Nov. 28th.....Dec. 8th?

If they had even a soft launch date in mind like one of the dates mentioned then wouldn't they also need a phone to release? Well we have seen leaked orders and shipment info stating that phones have been shipped to Verizon in the US. We have BMX stating that the phones have been delivered and ready for release by Verizon.

If you believe that Verizon was ready to release the Nexus but delayed it last minute to sell more Razr's or Rezound's then how could they suddenly change the specs of the Nexus at the end of Nov. and here is the kicker...even if they changed their minds last minute and decided to pull a bait and switch on us...wouldn't the new specs on this newly manufactured device need to go back through testing once it is produced?

For those that are going to say that verizon never stated a release date so it has never been delayed...you would be correct to a point.

If you believe the latest leaked screen shot then you also have to accept the wording that states that the Nexus internal release date has been changed to be released on dec. 8th. That indicates that they were ready to sell the Nexus before...so again they had to have a phone ready to sell if that was the case and all indications were that it was a 32gig version.

I believe they are playing games with us in an attempt to manipulate some into bailing on the Nexus in an attempt to sell more Razr's and Rezound's

I've done it, and I've chatted with 2 CSR reps to confirm, and saved the transcripts. According to them, you should have up to 30 days from when you activate your flip phone to reactivate a smart phone, and call Verizon to reapply your unlimited data.

As always, I suggest you either chat with them or call them and have them note it on your account that you have 30 days to reactivate a smartphone and apply an unlimited plan.

Edit: If you want me to post the transcripts I can, i need to dig them out of gmail though.

I have to say, an excellent idea by Rob to get that community letter going. Thanks Rob for doing that. One thing mentioned last night I would love to see in the letter is how Verizon is a communication company, but leaves a little to be desired when it comes to communicating with their customers. We appreciate honesty even if we don't like the news.

THat's kinda hit or miss. It will either pop up while youre looking at phones, or sometimes there's a button on the right hand, right above the tiled list of phones that says "Chat Live Now" or something like it.

Guys I used to work at VZW doing inside sales back in the day and couldn't take not knowing so I contacted a friend who still works there and is a major accounts rep. After asking him to help me upgrade and complaining about the GN. This was his response...

Did they pull it back? Thought it was coming in December.
