I went to my local Verizon store in Long Island, asked for the manager. I immediately asked if he could tell me when to expect the GNex...he said they didn't know...SHOCKER! He said everything we hear is pure speculation. I looked at the Rezound...it's not bad, but I definitely felt like I might be settling if I caved in and got it now. I definitely did not like the width of the Razr. The fit of the Rezound was much better. The only problem I have is they are offering only until November 30th double the data since I am not grandfathered in. Another reason I hope the GNex comes before end of November.
Can someone please tell me what the alternative other than SWYPE is? Steven posted it yesterday but I can't find it now.
Can't wait to pick up the Nexus on Monday!![]()
Someone today said you could call Verizon customer support and get the double data deal WITHOUT purchasing a new phone or extending your contract. I'd try it, at least. If not, consider getting a Razr before the deal ends (which some said might be the day before BF), and pay the $35 fee to swap to the GN after it comes out.
I'd try the phone call first, and just ask. You might try calling several times, just in case you don't get a nice rep the first call.

I want some of that stuff.man, what have you been smoking lmao
14 days normally , although there's a promotion going that supposedly extends the return date till next year for the holidaysMy problem is I am coming from a crappy ROGUE...and only have a $10 a month data plan. I might just do that with the Rezound though. Didn't realize you could swap it out for the GNex ... how much time do you have to do that?
Most phones (Android and iPhone alike) use sensors from a single OEM. Without a non-disclosure agreement, you can't get the real details, and their website is purposefully sparse on hard specs.
Samsung tends to make their own sensors and are even more secretive.
No, it means that I have to share that my widescreen THX VHS proving that Han shot first gave up the ghost recently. On that account alone, I retired my VHS player.
I think Supercurio + Engadget did a piece on the specifics of the internals.
yep found it, not sure if it helps or not:
Behind the glass: a detailed tour inside the Samsung Galaxy Nexus -- Engadget
watching the Verge Podcast (refuse to call it the vergecast) and even those guys, who arent android fanboys like us, are stumped about whats going on..
Something is wrong with Verizon; they have the best Android phone in the world and they are pushing the Droid Razr.

Very good (and helpful) but lacking camera sensor specifics.
I'm just about to do this too! Would you mind if I PM'd you for more details about how you did it?I have never rooted/roomed a phone before but I just did it to my OG DROID. It is so much faster with CM7. Why didn't I do this sooner? I am hoping the change holds me over until the GNEX. I am so ready for a new phone already!
That all sounds great in theory, but what about the fact that the Rezound came out like 3 days later and Verizon had (reportedly) planned on releasing the GNex as early as monday?Nope, nothing wrong with Verizon at all. Motoroloa is obviously lining Verizon's pockets to keep the Razr as Big Red's top-tier phone for a certain, mutually agreed upon amount of time. Think about it - if YOU were a Motorola exec and you had this device that has cost you millions of dollars to manufacture, I bet that you'd be damn sure that one of the top clauses in your agreement with your desired carrier would be for YOUR device to be exclusive for "X" amount of time.
I'm just about to do this too! Would you mind if I PM'd you for more details about how you did it?
