  :(

Going to go play some Skyrim to get my mind off the Ducks loss and the SGN...

G'night all... See you in the AM...

I can't ever help but wonder which corners were cut in the ReZound to hit the price point and still include Dre's headphones and royalty payment.
I'm sure the royalty payment is $1.53 and a pack of gum.

They get pushed so hard at retailers because of the tremendous markup. Like Monster Cable. Stores only pay around $5, and sell it for $60. Marketing in it's finest.

So my husband and I were/are planning to switch to Verizon for the nexus. We are currently on ATT. We'd like to have better network coverage and the nexus, so it seemed like a win win. I just read about the double data deal, and I know it's going to expire before the nexus comes out. I'm really not into this whole, "rent a razr/rezound" thing because it just seems wrong, but I'm wondering if we'd be silly not to do it for the double data... thoughts?
Yep, pretty silly. If you don't like renting it, you can probably buy a Palm Pixi for a little bit more than what you'd pay for the restocking fee...

EDIT: yep

Well, I'm going to say a couple of more things here before I go down for the evening.

Those that were hating CK (CerealKiller), carefull. He is about as high up the food chain on several android sites (DF is one I know of) and I wouldn't doubt it if he were made a mod (or more) here as well, so if you get on his wrong side he will soon have the ban hammer here as well.

As for those who (several pages back) were giving P3 (full user name; P3Droid) some 'non-love', don't you guys remember that not too long ago everyone was calling him the "Father of the leak"? Not only that, but those in the know, know that he developed some of the the best kernels for the A855. And I will add that he is connected with the same folks I am, as if you guys noticed.

OK, now to current events. P3Droid gave a very excellent review of the Galaxy Nexus over at his site, mydroidworld.com. There he gave it very good reviews (and acknowledged the fact he has a engineering 16meg device as opposed to the production 32gig) but at the end of the day; he said it still isn't a Motorola. Overall his review isn't all that bad in my book. I will probably try to get the Galaxy Nexus, however. . . . .

It leads me to speculate. . . . . With the latest change up in Motorola Mobility being bought out by Google. . . . .

I now hope and speculate that the next device to look for in the next year or so (or longer) is a Googlerola/Motogoogle/Nexorola/Googalrolanexu~what I mean is a pure Google device with the "Nexus" name manufactured by Motorola. Now THAT is the device to look forward too! The best of ALL the worlds.

OK, I'm done.

The earp is done.

This is what the last post will be here on this thread when the Nexus is released.

Just read up on the Rezound section in AF for a while. Everyone seems really, really happy with the phone (best phone that they've ever owned). Several that planned to "rent a Rezound" until the Gnex came out said that they would never give up their Rezounds now.

I'm going to give it a few more days. We'll see what happens with the 16gb deal on Google's site. That is the deal breaker for me. As soon as that spec is confirmed, I'm a new Rezound owner.

As soon as Sprint or ATT have LTE service as good as VZW... I can't wait to tell them where to shove it. The lack of communication/antics on this phone is horrible. You can be sure that Google will never trust them with a Nexus again, let alone an exclusive.

FYI - The RAZR and Rezound boards really hate the way that we bash their phones. They call us Nexus Fan Boys that act like 13 year old boys. Sadly, I am guilty of that as well; they are probably right.

A Moto nexus has potential I agree. A few improvements are needed with the cam even more so the cam software. But build quality, sound, and most important imo the radios would be killer! The screen might worry some though. I'm one of the lucky ones who does not see all the flaws that others see in a pentile

Well, HTC owns a majority share of Beats, so I don't know if royalties enter the equation. And, as was mentioned before, the actual manufacturing costs of the headphones are quite low. So I imagine most of the money goes into the phone itself.

Yeah it's sad with the phone bashing I don't blame them one bit
