Not having Flash was a deal-breaker for me because I switched to Android specifically because of Flash support. But, Google confirmed that Adobe will support ICS.

Flash, as well as most apps, will have to be updated to support ICS.

Isn't adobe finished producing flash for mobile?

So...wait a minute. I just saw a post that had something I hadn't seen before.

Gnex isn't going to support flash? So if I want to watch sports on say...watchespn.com or firstrowsports.com....I won't be able to?

Not saying this is a deal breaker for me, but I was really looking forward to a device that would give me that capability, as I'm still on an ancient blackberry.

Someone please talk me off this new ledge.

Whether Scott is attracting attention or passing on information is yet to be seen. Leave him be until we can eithr cooberate or he is proved wrong.

I see none of the past loved and thanked credible "source"(s) or those who were their mouthpieces who have been proven completely wrong being attacked like tis new guy.

As a matter of fact one of the mouthpieces of the most trusted and loved source who has been so incorrect is thanked like he is akin to God.

Lets just see how this plays out.

Where are the past sources hiding out??

What do you say we take Early's "advice" and just move on? Time will bear it all out...

And around here, no one mods for personal reasons.

No one.

Our system of cross checks on mod actions guarantees it.

I'd hope that'd be the case, but it's good to see it stated publicly. :)

2) Also the screen is not 16:9 on the RAZR where it is on the REZOUND so once again the REZOUND Looks better when looking at the screen b/c it seems a larger %age of the face is screen. I could be wrong on that, but that's how my eye perceived it.

They may look different, but both RAZR (960x540) and ReZound (1280x720) are 16:9 screens.

I plead this on my own forum, too. Ad blockers are great, but if you like a site and get use out of it, UNBLOCK THE ADS. That's how the site pays for its bandwidth, servers, and the few people who are getting paid to dedicate a lot of time to development, testing and maintenance.

Worthwhile reminder, thx BV.

A friend bought me a tiny radio controlled helicopter. I tried it in the kitchen and it went into the ceiling and broke its blade on the first try. :(

...and then you prosecuted your friend for negligence and infliction of emotional distress.

The natives are getting restless, I see...
We've become so jaded by this tortuous ride.

See what you've done to us, Verizon?? SEE WHAT YOU'VE DONE??!?!

I'm not counting on this myself. I don't have faith in Adobe following through to make Flash work on ICS after they've already announced they are no longer developing it for mobile devices. I think we all need to face the fact that Flash is going the way of the Dodo bird.

If you are buying Android solely for Flash support I believe this will soon be a moo point (yes, moo. It's a Joeyism from Friends).

Yes, but at least one source posted here since Friday quoted Google as saying that an ICS update for Flash was coming.

Dang me, I can't find the link just now.

I suspect that many apps that restrict access or installation, there's a simple look-up table to see if something is good to go on a particular phone or revision.

If the app is ok and the lookup table is off, then just updating that table solves the problem.

This is exactly what was done (by an independent dev) to get video conferencing in Skype working on the Thunderbolt, Evo, SGS and others not so many months back.

I've enjoyed and relied on Flash - and have really enjoyed it on my phone for well over a year (like many here).

However - HTML5 (with wrapping for better video codecs) is really the way to go, and the way we expect that most sites can/will go.

Flash tends to be a resource hog - memory, especially cpu cycles, the whole bit.

So, until it's dead, I'm liking having the option, but I think many iPhone owners will tell you that since the heady days of Eclair and Froyo, most sites now support both HTML5 _and_ Flash and the site serves what the phone supports.

The Verge stated something like the Nexus had the best & fastest browser they have tested. I wondered if that was because of omitting flash? If so that's fine by me.

They're done developing. I wouldn't be suprised if they drop a "version update" for ICS without any new features though.

If they don't, we could very well see it on rooted phones.

P3 was already working on it on the Nexus yesterday, so it's definitely a possibility on that front.

Since I am an optimist and part time fool,I will be at Verizon at 10:00 a.m. I have had some luck in the past with just walking in to a store and getting what I am looking for. In 2003 I was going to order my Mach1, I walked into the Ford dealer and it was there.Every option, exact color and no wait except for dealer prep.I also got a Nintendo Wii for my kids by just walking into Target,no wait there either. Going for the Tri Fecta tomorrow, besides the only chore I have to do tomorrow is pick up my weekly comic book order.

And for the record if nothing is available on Monday,I will be there on Tuesday at 10:00 am also.

I also noticed a ReZound commercial today. I tried to keep an eye out for Verizon branding, but I didn't see any. It seems Verizon has chosen its date to the prom.

Unfortunately Verizon and I don't have the same taste. I like mine to have curves, not some anorexic chick.

I use my phone for browsing - a lot.

I can't wait to have this browsing power -

WAY off-topic
Yeah. It's another recycle, I posted that picture already.

I swear if I could find a good English language YouTube from Babe - Pig in the City where the big dog says, Thank the Pig! I would so post it. :D Hope that doesn't come across the wrong way, it's intended as honest, clean humor, nothing other. :) ;) If you're not into the movie, I can't explain it - if you are - you're welcome! :D
