However, he knows nothing about these kinds of things. He isn't as "in the know" as he would like you to believe with company politics or strategy. On more than one occasion, he "reconfirms" leaks he finds on other websites and makes them appear as his own. Who knows what or who is sources are.

As somebody who is well-known in the Android field, he has a responsibility to verify his info before he runs with it. He has said it will be out almost every Thursday since the end of October. He says there are bugs, but then gives it a glowing review, and then says the device is ready for primetime. I'm sorry but I feel I must come to P3Droid's aid with this post. I just don't want his reputation to be impugned. I haven't followed his tweets, but I'm not much of a twitter fan. Remember he was called the "Father of the Leak(s)" with the Motorola A855.

Why? Because he knows the same people I do. Now in some ways I am speculating, and haven't asked if this is totally true, but it has been alluded to me that it is. Consider it as a chain or a ring of concentric circles. The person at the center or first link is the 'source' I know of that used to work for Motorola and now for Samsung. Then there's the second link(s) or circle. These are the people who have known this person (the center) for years and trust them to protect their actual source from revealing his name and removing any 'watermarks' from the files that the source at the center gives to the second link. I know everyone on the second circle. I will not give user names past or present of those in either of those two inner circles, but if you are observant and studious enough, you WILL be able to find them out. I consider that P3Droid is on the third link as am I. However P3Droid has been much more public in his development of kernels, his twitter feeds, and also his membership in TeamBlackHat (with one in the second link). Myself, I just try to do as one of those in the second link usually suggests in his sig: "read more, post less" and then I have my server to contend with. I just hang out on the sidelines and try to post what I think I should, keep my server active as often as I can and really just go from there.

Now on to the rest of the speculation. When I was in the pre-release threads for the A855, it was only the people who worked for Motorola (bill23 and sometimes Winston25) who had the REAL tech and release info that we could trust as we found when the phone did drop. NEVER, and I mean _never_ did anyone who knew anyone from VZW (sorry scottg96) did anyone then or later have solid info.

When was the last time you called VZW and anyone knew more than you?

I'm just saying. . . . .

VZW rejects the whole batch and Samsung has to restock the whole supply. The only lte models that are in production are the 16gb version that was going to be launched after the first wave. This would explain the delay and the mixed reports of stability issues as well as the Google specs page change.

I think this is as good a theory as any, certainly better than those accusing VZW of simply being mean/evil. I've always wondered if it wasn't an issue caught late in the game and we aren't hearing anything b/c they don't want bad publicity on what will be touted as an "exclusive' flagship phone.

Ads have been running for a while. Some are probably starting to see them more after visiting this forum, being cookied, and then visiting sites that fall within a display advertising network, most likely Google's own. Clear your cookies and you might see less of them.

Just installed the ics keyboard on my nexus s. Its pretty awesome a d seems to be working perfectly. The vibration has been toned down a ton and is very nice. I also like the larger space bar and the auto correction is working WAY better. Can't wait to use it on the GN!!
