Same with me. It was infuriating. I tried a few alternative launchers but didn't like any of the ones I tried. However, I did notice that getting rid of Lookout (anti-virus) and Advanced Task Killer did help a bit. I'm hoping rooting the phone will reduce the problem further.
 
Hey guys and gals, I'm a first time poster but long time watcher, and hence my name I've been waiting for this phone for awhile. I check all sorts of websites each morning. The sad news is just the other day I just dropped my original Eris and cracked part of the screen. The phone is pretty much on life support. What's the likelihood we even get a release date this month?

With all due respect, how would posting it on their wall force the video to be removed from Youtube? It's not property/copyright infringement (if I'm not mistaken).

Of course posting the video on their wall is childish. It doesn't help the decision-making go any faster. But again, that's not the point. Just retorting back at a multi-billion dollar company...

Welcome to the forum! Glad you came out of lurk mode.

A release this month is looking doubtful at this point. Sorry to hear about your Eris. This is going to be quite a jump in size and specs for you. Hopefully you won't be waiting too long to replace it.

Welcome! Not much likelihood at this point of seeing a November release. Although all hope is not lost. We have had doomsdays before turn around after new info comes out. Sorry to hear about your Eris.

Rezound does look like a pretty sweet phone other than the big disappointment (for me) that Beats Audio is not a beefy soundcard/software and just an EQ player for bass/settings.

It wouldn't force the video to be removed, however if people were using one of your videos "against your will" wouldn't you take it down so they can't do it anymore? If "we" keep putting it on Verizon's wall then I could see him taking it down to prevent us from doing so. TheRoosevelt already asked that we don't keep posting it there, I think we should all respect his wishes.
 
Didn't someone here say that their store guy had 50 SGN's on the way?

It don't understand why they would want ti release Black Friday. It just doesn't make sense to me. If that's the case I am not fighting crowds timetable it im waiting till the craziness dies down and praying they will still have some in stock when I go together one in the afternoon.
 
So we have tried the 'bug the crap out of Verizon approach' w/ no luck and that is no surprise, they withheld cuddle time w/ Apple for years and years and years. Imagine doing a blink battle w/ Steve Jobs for years. Who can we bug now because this has gotten boring. Google?
 
I cannot help but wonder what is the criteria for selecting phone testers.

If they picked some of the people from this forum we would have revealed and submitted all the bugs in a 24 hour period and the phone would have been out a month ago.
