Unfortunately the reps only get their info a week in advance about the products, usually enough time to receive shipment, and setup displays I'm guessing... That's why they never seem to know anything...
They told me they usually get the accessories a week or two before the actual phone, and phones are usually released on a Thursday.

I stopped by Best Buy tonight too. I was seriously thinking of also taking advantage of their extended return policy, but the salesperson said one thing that I hadn't thought about. If I return it after 14 days I will lose my $50 loyalty discount with Verizon. So I guess I'm waiting a bit longer.

So the BB guy told you that you had until jan 15th? I bought the rz today and was told I had until the 15th after I showed the policy to them, they had no clue about it... One of the fellas in the "rent a razr" thread mentioned that his local store told him that he had 14 days from time of activation.....?
If that is true, what exactly are my options of the gnex isn't out by day 14?

Holy bejeebus.. I don't think the Incredible thread has a chance, we may pass them tomorrow if there is any sort of news - good or bad. Wasn't able to get on much the past couple of days due to travel and my DroidX being up to its usual tricks when it comes to this board. Like 2k posts a day.. I've got quite a bit of catching up to do it seems.

Well we know some stores have already received and sold accessories last week so unless the Gnex releases this week then those theories aren't necessarily true..
Well, I'm going to take a break from constantly checking this forum until next week. I honestly don't expect any good news soon, so why depress myself any further. The whole release of this phone has turned out to be a real downer.
All I can say, is I'd be very surprised if the Verizon phone does not have same issues the UK one is having now if we ever get it. But I wish good luck to Verizon with their "bug-fixing".

I'm confused as to why that video has "Verizon Video" in the search bar settings. It's not the verizon version....and why would someone install that?

Ok so this isn't about a release date per say but my sister actually had her hands on a Nexus today!
She works in a verizon call center as a technical support person and I guess they had a "roadshow" today where all the different manufactures had working models of all their newer phones. She said everuone wanted to see the Nexus so she didn't get much time with it but still cool. Im jealous!
Like a lot of people who have messed with it she said it just had that really cool wow factor (and she is a fruit person)

Of course, there are exceptions, like in your case.My wife's Droid is doing the random calls/txts and hanging up on its own, so I hope hers can survive the wait. I was referring more to those like myself whose phones are functional but having to wait feels unbearable.

Well like I said she only had it for a minute but she said out of the 3 new phones that was definitely her favorite (no big surprise I know), she said the screen looks amazing, and she really liked how it felt in her hand.
Nothing too earth shattering but a minute or so only allows so much haha she said everyone was so excited to try and get their hands on it
