That's awesome the Galaxy Nexus' browser performed so well however I don't use the browser much (very rarely) since most of the stuff I look at I have apps for, I wonder if that kind of performance will be noticed in the apps, or if it'll actually be quicker to use the browser now?

Wow I seem to hit the first post in a new page (when using 50 posts per page) all the time...if only I could change that to the last post I might have a chance at one of the milestones haha

I agree, it seems the rumors from twitter and the document leaks point to 12/8 the most IMO

It's not about it being a portable xbox, its about the claim of it being the fastest smartphone, which I don't quite believe, especially from it struggling with some live wallpapers that are on ICS. Just looking for a wholistic view of the phone, not just one or two benchmarks. I am looking to see how the Galaxy S II performs with ICS in benchmarks.
 
I went out for a stroll today to the Verizon store. Saw a lady there who just came off of the trolly and had he child in a stroller. She appeared in a hurry to get to the verizon store. She starting yelling n an uncontrollable manner about not knowing when she could get her Galaxy nexus phone. Once the manager had the situation controlled he called a guy from the back. I think he was the comptroller as he offer her some money back on her current plan. She was really happy after that and from what I heard her say I think she was a trollop. I got out of there in a hurry.

Still no GNex news and sorry Steven I could not help:D

I have a bum DX. Worked fine shortly after getting it, but about two days outside of the return period (this was an insurance replacement for an OG Droid) it started acting flaky with reboots, freezes and such. I could not even get the last couple of OTA updates to fix some of the reboot problems. I've rooted it, but decided after hearing about the SGII I was going to get that phone and say screw it.. of course Verizon passed on that for the Gnex.. so been waiting just a bit.

I'd swear all of these delays are my phone's doing based on how troublesome it is at times, but the DX spends so much time switching between 1x/3G I know it couldn't get a connection to manipulate the system.

Only for specific 3D graphics.

For media processing it's more than worthy.

Shamed is rough assessment and maybe only accurate when qualifying what is being measured.

My favorite (sarcasm) are the benchmark charts showing screen off results for graphics. Or the ones that don't tell you what is terribly wrong with anything that can run a higher fps rate than the screen update rate.

Details count.

I flashed my Bolt back to Bamf Forever 1.10 today. Was running AOSP for a little while. As bloated as Sense is, there are quite a few features that I would miss. I like the fact that you can pinch to zoom the messaging app. It changes the text size. I love all the text on my phone to be as small as possible. I hate how all text the AOSP Roms look huge. Its really noticeable when you are in the settings menu. The sense settings menu uses a smaller font that looks cleaner to me. I know this is all changeable of course, but I'm just stating my opinion. I also like the fact that, while in a call, if you go to a different app, you can end the call from the notification pull down. I don't know if there is a way to do that in a non-sense rom. Please educate me if there is.

Anyway, my question is, which roms are sense-like roms for the nexus phones? I wasn't aware that any such things existed. I ask because, after flashing back to sense, I'm back on the fence between SGN and the HTC device. If the HTC device gets S-Off, then I can always flash between AOSP and Sense. I am sure it will get ICS soon enough. Obviously the SGN won't have a sense option, but if you're saying there are sense-like ROMS, that may help my decision.

Edit:simple Google search yielded some interesting results. I had no idea that they had sense - like roms for the Nexus S - Although it seems they don't really work too well

Totally see where you're coming from. I haven't seen true android power since i had the Nexus One. Then got stuck with a G2. Haven't messed with any of the newer powerful phones. I think there was a link in this abyss called a thread, that pointed the live wallpaper was lagging because of some incompatibility. Wasn't the phone itself slowing down.

This is off topic, but I found it funny.

My company sent a message out telling iPhone 4S users not to use Siri to dictate confidential/secret company info, since naturally it goes to Apple servers. Too funny, but I guess also sort of sad - there were probably people doing it! :eek:

I agree it does look interesting. But with the SGN on its way, I lose interest in it quickly. :p
