***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

Shouldn't the thread title be changed from 11/21 since that's kinda come and gone now?
I think I might stop hanging out here so often, I feel like I'm losing the "surprise" factor for when I get the phone cause I'll have seen every review and video about it by the time I have one in my hands.
Don't get me wrong, I'll still be excited as hell when I get it, but I want a bit of the newness and curiosity saved for the day when I'll be dancing around like a moron with my phone haha.
Scratch the title change, just realized that's supposed to mean latest info as of 11/21, my bad

It must be the area and the number of users.

I live just north of Tampa and work in the Feather Sound area and I am getting about 10 down and 8 up with a Thunderbolt.

Yeah pretty much all over the area thats what Ill get. At different times, i may hit 8 down, but thats only after midnight.

My brother has the same result, he has a thunderbolt as well, it could be a thunderbolt issue, but others in different areas are fine. I dont know if the Nexus will be any different

It might be the Tbolt. Friend of mine from college still lives in Tampa and got the Tbolt for work. After a month or two he started having issues with the 4g connection. Ended up replacing it with a Charge and has had better speed. He's considering going to the Rezound though, he really misses Sense. All three phones were a big step up from his BlackBerry Storm however. :)

He's up in Lutz though, not sure if it just might be less congestion up that way.

I lived in the wesley chapel area and they still dont have LTE yet lol...

I have a love/hate relationship with Sense. I loved it for a bit and then really hated it bogging the system down, but loved the integration and contacts and such. Sucks the Tbolt couldnt handle CM7 all that well, data dropout like a mother

My friend rented a Rezound from Verizon -- its honestly a really nice phone.

Screen is gorgeous, but I am still waiting. I will not give in.

I took a look at one the other day when I was in trying to find Nexus information... It is a really nice phone, and the pictures are very decieving for how thick it looks... it doesn't look all that bad in person... :)

I will not select it instead of a Nexus.... :D

Nitro's got some pretty killer specs to be sure, especially the screen. Unfortunately, looks like it's AT&T only, at least for now. Plus, it's only got 4 GB of internal storage, and a locked bootloader. I'll stick with the Nexus. :D

Agreed, it looks great! I wonder if that is partly why verizon delayed SGN, so they have a newer HD phone (with ICS) closer to xmas. I don't know what date the LG beast will hit the market, but I assume that they will try to get it out before the holidays.

Should have put that in my first post, but someone stopped by my cube. doh!

I actually love the way the ReZound looks and feels in the hand. Nice solid build feel, texture on the back is nice, screen is excellent, the camera was great as well. Pretty snappy to boot.

I love some of the sense widgets, but really hate the overall feel of the UI.... I might be a little better with it, if I could do some modifications without a 3rd party launcher... :)

This prompted me to run a 4G speedtest on my Tbolt in downtown Clearwater. Not too impressive, 5.71 Mbps down.

I too am hoping GNex will be quicker, but I fear our area has high LTE demand. Really has kept me from adding tethering.

I just got 11d5u here in Savannah. But that was outside, I walk 10 feet inside the building, and lose signal.

darn i was hoping it was just me :(

Unfortunately my speeds never got better than that anywhere I went in Tampa... I work down town and live on the Bay. This whole area should be saturated with 4G goodness. I was actually hoping it was just the bionic but it doesn't sound that way.

Whats the good word everyone? I don't feel like reading through useless posts right now :)

Still no potentially good news?

Another piece of the puzzle? I searched for "owners manuals" on Google. I found the Bionic's owners manual. I then changed "charge" to "prime" and got a place holder page. Out of curiosity I changed prime to nexus, galaxy, galaxy_nexus, etc. and it comes up with an error page. It says "Not Found The requested object does not exist on this server. The link you followed is either outdated, inaccurate, or the server has been instructed not to let you have it.?

Try it for yourself:

I totally agree. I liked the Rezound as it's not too wide. I loooooove sense. If the Nexus was not coming out I would have likely gone for that. As it stands, I'll probably flash a sense-like rom. Sue me. ;)
