On a side note. I think i'm going insane waiting for this thing. I've watched that video at least 5 times in the last couple hours.

@VZWSupport How about you just confirm a release date for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. 1000's of us WANT to spend money! Throw us a bone!

@TheRealBeesley We understand the want and need for this device; however, we do not have a release date. Thank you for your patience. ^LA

Charging $700 for a piece of techno that cost about $50 to make is only that way so you feel like you are getting a great deal at $300 w/ a 'subsidized' phone.

I think $50 is inaccurate. I read somewhere that the iPhone costs approximately $180 to make.

SGN would be more expensive because of beefier components.

Yeah, they're still making a ridiculous profit though.

Patience is long gone at this point. If we were to to say, "Thanks for the open and honest answers Verizon!" it wouldn't change the fact they are keeping us all in the dark. Their arrogance is beginning to take it's toll on me.

Off topic:
So the Chiefs took Orton. McCown comes to Chicago. I sure hope Hanie is up to snuff.

Looking forward to the Harbaugh Bowl, San Fran at Baltimore. Should be a good game, sappy family soap opera aside.

On topic:

I'm starting to lean more and more towards blowing off Verizon, keeping the Dinc2, and just going with the Transformer Prime. I wanted the SGN for a big screen, HD, and ICS. Looks like the TP will have those too.

Oh no. It's called TP.

LOL

I'm a HUGE ravens fan, can't wait for that game. The KC move really surprised me honestly

I think the TP is going to be a little rich for my blood right now, looks like its running $530+

It looks damn nice though :/

HTC committed on their Facebook page to update the Rezound to ICS in early 2012. As all of my Android revision updates from HTC have been quite stable, I'm not sure if I'm missing some other point there?

HTC announces specifics on Ice Cream Sandwich upgrades, includes Rezound -- Engadget

Oh no, I wasn't at all saying that HTC couldn't handle an update, I was merely pointing out the fallacy in thinking that, by jumping to the Razr or Rezound you would be assured getting a stable, unofficial update in a timely manner . That being said, I SERIOUSLY (given the debacle with the Inc Gingerbread and Eris Eclair updates) doubt that the phone will have ICS before March, at the earliest but not at the fault of HTC.

I have to say, it's only a few hours in but I'm very pleased with the Rezound. Even running stock Sense 3.5 it's blazing fast, and it's really a gorgeous display. If the battery life is as decent as the early reports, I'm going to be somewhat sad to return it.

Yeah I am sure $50 was being slightly dramatic but that is what I am saying....You can buy a 62" flat panel plasma for less then the price of a 'unsubsidized' phone. Paying $299 doesn't make me feel they are doing me a favor for signing a contract with them.

What Droid 4 leak?

They're releasing a damn phone that we just glimpsed not more than 2 weeks ago? Before the SGN??

This is bordering on abuse.

Well, if that lasted article is true, they would be the same day. But who's to say verizon doesn't push it back? They seem flexible with when they release it after all.

I remember reading the same thing, but i believe that was only for MATERIAL costs. There is still labor and machinery/operating costs associated with each unit, I wouldn't be surprised if they actually cost $200-250 to make. So if you buy subsidized, you are actually getting it close to cost.

+1

Solid phone! Battery life has been very impressive so far.

Any chance the Droid 4 will release with ICS? It is Android 4.0, after all.

We have been waiting months for the first ICS phone....and the Droid 4 might wind up being the first ICS phone.

I don't think that will happen. Droid 4 won't have ICS out of the box(hopefully)
