I feel the same way, but have some qualms:

1. Sense can be pushed aside with a launcher until it gets permaroot.

2. ICS won't come direct from Google, but it will come from the dev community. They seem to have just achieved S-off, which is a very good sign.

3. Its HD screen is non-pentile, so it has the traditional RGB stripe. I looked really frakking hard for any pixelation or banding on the HTC device at the store, and couldn't find any. Pixel density is higher than both iPhone and SGN.

4. Although clocked at 1.5GHz, I agree that its processor is somewhat inferior to the OMAP. But I doubt I'd notice the difference since I don't do any gaming on my phones.

But yeah, I do prefer the richer colors of a SAMOLED display, and the huge support that the dev community will give to the Nexus.

I'm so torn!

Honestly, I'd take the 16gb, for 199. I use Pandora for music, and don't really keep much on my phone :/
 
Everything is switching over to the cloud these days... Don't see why people would need much more than 16 GB anyways...

Wouldn't surprise me if Goog forced 16 GB down everyone's throat just to coax people to start using their cloud services, though.

Well, there are times when you don't have data access, or your not lucky with a unlimited data plan.

I'm going on a cruise in 2 weeks, I could see possibly wanting to put a bunch of movies and music on the phone to use when out of coverage...

for me its not a big deal, but I could see some people wanting more.

I could make do with the 16Gb as well, but it would just be nice to have the option (on the same day) of choosing the 32Gb also. I don't think I have more than 2Gb on my SD card now, so 16 is more than enough for me. Some people have other needs though, and it would be troubling if Verizon does wind up selling both, but only has the 32 after the holidays. Like I said, probably won't go down that way though

You're going to be on a cruise... Aren't you supposed to be consistently too drunk to use a smartphone anyways? :)
 
On a side note: someone remind me to never go on the Razr or Rezound forum threads. I checked out one yesterday about why buy the Razr over the Gnex - and it got my Irish up a bit.

No worries Early - I didn't send any scathing replies to those posts (even though in one or two instances I wanted to), but I refrained. For some reason I am really defensive about this phone
 
One thing this ad does for me is put to rest the theory that they are holding this phone back to sell more [insert VZW "preferred" phone here]. The add does not even mention either of the R phones. If VZW was so bent on selling the other phones over this one, why price it $100 less at any time this year?

I really hope this is true though. At $199 (hopefully $50 loyalty still applies) I could still get both the SGN and the Asus Transformer (AKA TP). This scenario may be the only one that would make me feel like it has been worth the wait. Well, just a little. :)

(If this is the 32gb model and not 16gb only)

I've wandered into the RAZR forum myself on occasion. They certainly spend a lot of time bashing our "obsession" yet seem to be unable to stop lurking here and occasionally throwing a firecracker to see what happens. They actually got a thread locked because they couldn't stop bashing us.

Oh well. I just hope that we all end up happy in the end.

Well I just pre-ordered the Transformer Prime from Best Buy, the confirmation page says it will be delivered between 12/18-12/23, I suppose we'll see.

Now, if I could just order the GNEX.

Good Morning GNexers! I see we got a little tease last night. Good thing it wasn't real (for me that is). No lie, the last post I read last night was the one right before the ad was first posted here. I would have been sick this morning if it were real.
