By the sounds of it, yes. Which runs the risk of the preorder online not working since its...well...online. But I am not too worried about it, I have about 3 Verizon Wireless stores within 5 miles of my house, one of them will have the Nexus the day of release.
25 bucks off the Nexus, plus another 50 that I have credit? I like this price that keeps getting lower and lower...

No, to my knowledge, authorized retailers or like 3rd party stores selling Verizon stuff...Maybe like Best Buy or Radio Shack or something? But I can't be completely sure...

After googling a bit, I can only get bits and pieces, but yeah, it looks like the SVDO might be a problem if you want to run AOSP roms. Not sure if this is still an issue with the newest HTC.
Hmm.
Currently running AOSP on the Thunderbolt and it's not horrible. However, there's been a lot more support for the phone than I'm guessing there'll be for the Rezound because at the time, it was the first 4g phone and now the R has to compete with the Nexus. I'm just being honest, but if I really wanted to run AOSP ICS I'd be a little nervous about getting the Rezound.

Wow!! I just checked the first couple pages of this thread to see how long some people have been here (in this thread). Han and Antimony have been here since the beginning. +1 on this. Plus: if you revert back to a dumb phone, you may LOSE unlimited data (if you're on it) and have to go to tiered. It HAS happened.

Hi Chief, I have posted this before but am prompted to do it again here.
Recently my OG Droid hit the floor and killed the display. I made an Insurance claim and called Verizon which resulted in my old LG enV2 being re-activated while I waited for the replacement.
The unlimited data was removed because the enV2 would not activate with it in the plan. It was restored when I got the replacement OG Droid.

The sticky part is that it's an Alltel plan. I'd suggest you call Customer Care and be very specific with your question.
Normally I'd say you have nothing to worry about. But it being a relic from Alltel, I have no idea.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
However, I can tell you that if you dial 800-922-0204, then hit # at the prompt, and then ZERO, you'll get a rep in less than a minute.

i ordered my wife an iP4s online, and got the same choices. but, like you, i'm on an unlimited Alltel plan from before it got bought out by VZW. however, the VZW rep told me to just call after my wife got her phone, and we would be able to keep our same plan. i'm not sure about Price Club (it's still Price Club to me), but i think it would be the same.

Thanks for your help.. but I seemed to already taken care of it.
I called Costco's ordering service and was on hold for 20+ minutes so while on hold I decided to shoot them an email explaining my case a little.
A CSR emailed me right away asking for a number in which he called me.
If you have a grandfathered unlimited data plan you basically go through their upgrading process and select "any" of the data plans they require you to select.
Afterwards you email the customer service email and take note of your order and information and tell them your plan already is unlimited data and you would like to keep your old data plan.
This sucks... my GF which she keeps asking me when am I going to get my new phone (nexus) is going to get a new phone before me.

Who knows? All I can say is that my Beloved Droid will be my standby device, just in case...
