Where do you get the pics for your cool avatars
on topic: reading other forums and even threads here it seems that 4GB will be a minimum. Even downloading free videos from the market will chew through data fast. Fortunately we can "beam" from friends on the GNex.

Me too...they took the most negative part of the review, and used that as their snipit for the best android phones. Ridiculous!
And yet here is what they put for the best 5 phones. Makes absolutely no sense to me.

I posted about this yesterday, but I my cousin and I were taking pictures for thanksgiving with our phones (mine is a Dinc and his is a 4S) both being 8MP shooters. To put it lightly, the difference was amazing. His pictures look crisp and properly exposed, basically like a good point and shoot. Mine look like something that barely acceptable for a downsized facebook pic. I was on the same page about the camera until then, now its a pretty big deal for me. I am trying to get some pictures from him so I can post them side by side, but it really is noticeable.

Ah, I should've tried that. I did color select on the white background, then inverted and intersected it. Playing w/threshold and feathering values: fun but probably a lot faster if you really know what you're doing!

The problem with side profile shots of anything is that we often do not get an orthorectified image. That is, the photo has not been adjusted for distortion caused by the round lens on the camera. Just another two cents, the difference between the sizes of each phone could be smaller than the image makes it out to be.

The Rezound display is LCD with no pentile subpixels. GNex has pentile subpixel arrangement in SAMOLED tech. Both are 720p resolution.
The Rezound display will show more accurate colors and have less banding in some areas, along with generally sharper text. The GNex will have unmatched contrast, albeit with less color accuracy (produces a vibrant display that most perfer). It should also be more visible outdoors. Although at HD resolutions, any such differences should be fairly minor.
All else equal, I'd have to honestly say I'd prefer the display tech on the Rezound. Not even the tiniest decision maker, by any means. But if I did have my choice......I would most likely pick LCD.

Actually, without ICS, this phone would be one of the worst Android phones. Wouldn't be able to get to far in Gingerbread without buttons.

+1 for the "ortho" reference. I use digital orthophoto quads all the time in what I do.
We a GNex thread showing all the various incarnations of avatars that were used while we all awaited the GNex!

I'd like to point out that the CNET Nexus review is a hot mess (using one of their own lines against them). If you notice, two people actually wrote the review, which figures because when I read it, it sounded like either two people wrote it, or someone with a split personality wrote it. "ICS is an awesome, much needed facelift, but then again it's not....the camera quality could be better, but it still is among the best...".
Kent German, one of the reviewers, is one of the biggest Apple cheerleaders on the site. Look up his blogs. When the Hong Kong event was postponed, he wrote a long rant saying how Samsung and Google is hiding something from us, he speculated that the phone had big problems and that Google/Samsung couldn't possibly be respectful enough to postpone the event due to the passing of Steve Jobs. It was a pathetic blog that was just one man's opinion with 0 facts to back it up, but presented in a way where it was a fact piece and not an opinion piece.
CNET will never claim another phone to be better than the latest iPhone, even if it is clearly better. On Android device reviews, they focus a lot of energy and writing on the negative aspects, often blowing up small issues and exaggerating them to the point where they make the phone seem awful, and then just lightly touch on what the phone does right. The result is mostly negative reviews.
I admit, I still go to CNET sometimes, and I do enjoy their Android podcast because the hosts are awesome, albeit they are a bit slower to churn out news and don't always mention the latest. But anything they say should be taken with a grain of salt as their journalistic integrity in the tech world has been compromised over the last few years.

A few thousand pages back someone highly recommended a brand of screen protector. Does anyone remember what it was? I thought I made note of it, but of course, now I can't find it. He said he would come back and give us a further review, but I don't recall seeing it.
