Well what I would tell MY son is "if you want XXX, you will learn to do chores". Of course, he has been doing chores - including his own laundry - since he was 10 (he's now 18). Not sure how old you are, but perhaps it's time you begin doing adult things, such as chores, if you want adult toys, such as the GNex. Not trying to pee in your cornflakes or anything, but if you want something but aren't willing to make any sort of sacrifice to get it, then the way I was brought up, you don't really deserve to have it.

What's big and red and can't release the galaxy nexus? You're only going to need one guess.

Stopped into my Verizon store to play with the Rezound. I of course asked a rep about the Nexus. Nothing of note to offer other than she had what was an obviously scripted response, which probably means there have been quite a few inquiries. Also, she was smokin hot.
On a side note, does anyone know if the VZW double data promo becomes a grandfathered thing or do you lose it if you change devices? I asked the sales rep but she basically didn't know.

Long long long time lurker. Finally joining the discussion.I've really enjoyed all the perspectives you guys have.
You have to remember that Verizon Wireless reps/sales team does not have any inside information on when the Nexus is coming out. That's the number 1 thing that drives me insane as I read through the 1,000 pages (congratulations btw!!). I know 4-5 people who work with Verizon and they all say the same thing: "The focus is on what we have now. We need to sell what's on the floor and they'll never allow us to leak information that would push buyers away from a current product."
So please, stop asking people who work for Verizon. They do not know. That's been the Verizon way for a very long time. I know a few people with over 15 years experience.
Current 4g phone users can opt in so yes, I imagine you are grandfathered in.
Nice avatar, Biker! (I considered calling you BB but...)![]()
So are you with the Rez for good or is it just until the Gnex comes out?
I can sell the Rez on eBay or Swappa to get a GNex, which I've reeeeally wanted for a looooong time, but right now I'm hoping to like it well enough to keep it. Yes, there is some regret, and it feels totally weird to abruptly switch races only yards from the finish line.![]()
I'm starting to think I should do swappa so I can start service cheaply without a lock-in, but the question is when and why. I'm thinking if there's no word on the gnex by dec 15th. Thoughts?
I disagree. If you're working for verizon, you deserve to hear what the customer wants. How else will verizon know, if we don't tell them?Long long long time lurker. Finally joining the discussion.I've really enjoyed all the perspectives you guys have.

So are we basing all of these next year release rumors on in-store salespeople, who have a vested interest to sell you a phone right there and then?

Congrats to the wife. I have been trying to get mine to trade her iPhone 4 in for one. No luck so far...
How does she like it so far?
I don't disagree with telling Verizon, but I don't see the point in telling the sales reps. If you don't like the job President Obama is doing do you complain to the army private who works for him?I disagree. If you're working for verizon, you deserve to hear what the customer wants. hello! long time lurker and I just now decided I would make it worthwhile and make and account! patiently waiting for the gnex like all of you! man this forum is addicting LOL!
But I'm still a firm believer that we'll see something this week or next, and no later![]()
