Ahhhh... remember when a simple picture made us all so happy?

We'll all get more soon.

Just checking in since this morning before 50k and it saddens me to see how things have transpired... I'm not blaming anyone or taking anyone's side, it just sucks to see a place that has been so exciting and full of people like me enjoying each others company to have taken this turn for the worse. Even tho I haven't had a huge presents in the thread, I have followed it religiously to the point that my girlfriend hates it and complains about it by name. I hope that we all can all find a way to turn this experience around and bring it back to the way things need to be; a group of good friends excitedly discussing and waiting for an event that the majority of people dismiss as irrelevant.

As a side note, "Echo Three to Echo Seven. Han, old buddy, do you read me?" We need ya back.

Son of a nutcracker...is this old news? Battery not charging now?

Well it's obviously not widespread, if even truly a problem. That was kind of a short video lacking much for details. I could run my phone down to nothing then plug it in and make a similar video.

It did say discharging though in settings, not charging. Even though the charge symbol was on the battery icon. Hopefully this is a lemon.

If you look in the video you see he has a "Developer Option" sub option. This may be a dev/engineer unit?

Yeah, might just be a lemon. Maybe a bad battery or charger. I'm confident this isn't something we'd need to worry about too much.

I think the problem here is as soon as someone tries to sway the thread in a positive direction, a few ignore it. Enough to bring everyone else back down.

We could always talk CPUs and megapixels, that always seems to bring out the energy in the crowd.

who was it that said at 720p and over 300 pixel density, you can't see the pentile artifacts? also, how long did they play with the phone for before saying that?

As with the Nexus S, I noticed some color aberrations and odd striations which were visible when there was a large swath of solid, lighter colors visible (a plain gray background, for instance). This problem seemed less obvious when the brightness was a bit higher, however.

How about real world use situations you're excited about? Any distinct advantages this phone will have over your current phone?

it'll be a smartphone! though i doubt it will ever match my current phone in terms of reliability or how good a phone it'll be or having a real keyboard that i can type on very fast.

but i'm excited because i'm like the last of my friends to get a smart phone, except a firm sponsored blackberry i used to have, but it sucked cause work came out of it! i'll finally be able to play words with friends!

Oh ya doesn't your future phone have a higher mp and clock speed? Haha I'm just kidding they're both great phones

LOLOL, truthfully I wasn't even thinking about that. And for the record, I agree w/Early that Rezound's 1.5GHz older generation CPU and Nexus' newer 1.2GHz CPU will be virtually identical in performance. I think Nexus has the better camera (despite MP, yada yada), but Rezound is said to be pretty good, surely better than my old OG Droid's.

Yeah I've made that claim and heard about the streaks elsewhere. If it only happens at low brightness it almost sounds like some kind of manufacturing defect. I don't know what to make of it. Any ideas?

Ya I know the camera or at least video looks better on the rezound and the galaxy nexus has a better processor

I got the rezound too

OMG are you serious? You are in for a major treat! Nexus is a dream phone for an awful lot of people. Great hardware specs, clean new interface ready to use or customize with all of the goodies the devs will be focusing their attention on. A perfect bragging rights phone. :)

Eh, I won't concede better CPU with both at stock speeds. But if Nexus overclocks to 2GHz as many people suspect, then yeah I may be a little extra jealous.

Oh that's right, I thought I remembered you from the other night. My order status says Packed, do you have tracking info yet?

Your Dad's going to be thrilled, hope they get there fast. Ultimately it was a no-brainer for me. I was looking at getting GNex in Jan or maybe Feb, and then something 90% as good (IMO) came along for almost free.

Hey, maybe we are the ones who brought down the whole thread this week. I mean, all the people saying they were going to Rent-A-Zound who decided they were gonna keep them after all, then others of us jumped at the $50 deal. How could the true GNexers not get demoralized?
